If you are someone who enjoys authentic Tibetan, Chinese, and Thai cuisine, then Kalsang Restaurant, Delhi (कलसंग रेस्टोरेंट, दिल्ली) is definitely a must-visit. Situated in the heart of Delhi, this restaurant has gained immense popularity for its cozy Himalayan vibe, friendly staff, and mouthwatering food that transports you straight to the hills of Dehradun, Mussoorie, or Dharamshala, where Kalsang first became a household name.
✨ Ambience & Vibe
The first thing you notice when you enter Kalsang Delhi is its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interiors are beautifully designed with Tibetan prayer flags, wooden furniture, and soft lighting that immediately makes you feel relaxed. हल्का सा पहाड़ी टच है जो आपको दिल्ली में रहकर भी उत्तराखंड और हिमाचल की याद दिला देता है। It’s perfect for family dinners, casual hangouts with friends, or even a quiet date night.
🍜 Food & Taste
Kalsang is best known for its Tibetan and Asian delicacies, and every dish is prepared with authentic flavors. Some must-try items include:
Momos (मोमोज़): Steamed, fried, or pan-fried – their momos are legendary. Juicy stuffing and perfectly thin outer layer make them one of the best in Delhi.
Thukpa (थुकपा): A hearty noodle soup that feels like comfort in a bowl, especially during winters.
Honey Chilli Potatoes & Chilli Chicken: Perfect balance of spice and sweetness – crispy and delicious.
Thai Curries & Noodles: If you love Thai cuisine, their red curry and pad thai noodles won’t disappoint.
Desserts: Don’t miss the Chocolate Momos – yes, a sweet twist to the classic!
The portions are generous, and the flavors are authentic, not overly modified like many other “fusion” Asian restaurants.
🧑🍳 Service & Staff
The staff at Kalsang Delhi is extremely polite, attentive, and always ready to recommend the best dishes. Food usually arrives on time, and even during rush hours, they manage the crowd well. The hospitality feels very homely – something that adds to the overall experience.
💰 Price & Value for Money
The pricing is reasonable for the quality and quantity offered. A meal for two usually costs around ₹1000–1500 depending on your order. Considering the authenticity of taste and the ambience, it is value for money.

I had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant. Despite having a confirmed booking, we were told to wait for 15 minutes — but were only seated after 45 minutes. Even then, the table wasn’t cleaned properly until we reminded the staff five or six times.
When we were finally seated, we were given water in visibly dirty, unwashed glasses. The hygiene levels were appalling — tables were messy, and plates being used for service looked unclean.
After placing our order, we had to repeatedly (7–8 times) ask for an update, and received no response. Finally, after nearly an hour, someone casually told us the sauce was finished and they couldn’t complete our order — no apology, no alternatives offered. The manager and the rest of the staff were indifferent and made no effort to address the situation.
In the end, we had no choice but to leave without eating. Overall, this place lacked basic customer service, cleanliness, hygiene and respect for its guests. I would strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant until they take steps to improve their service and hygiene standards.
Felt like they are only giving importance and good service to influencers, overall experience was waste of time and efforts, would never recommend to anyone who is going there by seeing luring reels of food...
Read moreThis is the worst restaurant I have ever visited in my life till now. I am too lazy to write reviews usually but this encounter I don't want anyone to have ever, given the cost that's associated. First, the food was okayish (do remember to ask the no. of pieces in case u have believed full plate will have atleast 8 momos and pork ribs a big no). Second, serving is too bad. The dalay is too long and they don't even serve the rice with side dish that u order, cause that's not cooked, so enjoy ur rice and meat separately, or let ur rice get cold in the long wait of the meat. Third, the worst, they serve wrong order and do not take accountability. We ordered kalsang sp meat mixed fried rice without pork, as one of my friends doesn't eat pork. They delivered the food with pork and when encountered they argued that it's mutton with fat. What rubbish, don't we know the taste of the meat! The girl who served refused to taste, refused to call the chef and just gave up on us handing us the full bill. I am not even writing about the minors of the horrendous experience that we had there. The time and pocket cost us too much to what they delivered. They even sell fruit beer with ice at 160. The sophistication and prices do not match the food and services. Totally disappointed. Ditching Tee Dee for some new experience was a big mistake. Visit at...
