Location: Defense Colony A-Block market. You’ll see this place right in front of the entrance to this market. How to get there: Well you can take a public transport like the metro, nearest station is Lajpat Nagar and now South Extension is also pretty nearby. Else you can drive. They have enough parking which is shared between a couple of other restaurants. Ambience: This place is small and has been furnished to look way better than what it used to. You can have the food packed also. The service is pretty quick maximum wait time can be 10mins. They are one of oldest restaurants in the A-block market. Food: The food has only improved over the years but still keeping the old taste for which, they are famous. Their signature burgers are still served with a crisp patty and salted potato chips. There pizza is just delicious. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and have good time without being too heavy on pocket. The food here is comfort food for me since I have lived in that neighborhood for a long time. Not only the burgers but the sandwiches and pizzas are also delicious. This place is my go to place if I want a quick bite. Staff: some of the staff members have been at this place since the very inception and they treat every customer with a friend smile. Sure, they have hired new staff but they the old ones are still there. If you have been there many times, they might even...
Read moreI had been planning on visiting Kent's for a long time, especially with all the hype on social media. But I am beyond disappointed. The entire experience have just been abysmal. I ordered a chicken burger, which was dry with almost no mayo and some bits of onion. And a mutton burger which was so salty, with way too much pepper and ginger. It felt like a punishment to eat it. We got a ginger ale with it which was fine, but they didn't make it so. The thing that was the most obnoxious was the staff. The staff was incredibly rude and almost felt a little too entitled. He refused to take my order and said he will come at his own time. He refused to cut my burgers in half, as I had forgotten to tell him that when I had ordered and when I insisted he said he is too busy to make time for this. And then out of the blue he took them away while we had already started eating. He didn't give us wraps or anything. Just burgers on a tray. Like what audacity. And I got food poisoning within the hour, not so surprising seeing how my food was handled. Or should I say man-handled. Extremely extremely disappointed. Such an old establishment with such a good reputation and such poor state...
Read moreI’d heard through word-of-mouth about this fast food joint, and boy does it live up to the hype. We ordered a mutton king burger, a Paris pepperoni cheese sub sandwich, and a strong cold coffee.
The burger was massive. The “king” variants of the burgers have two patties, but unlike a Big Mac, not an extra piece of bread in the middle, which I vastly prefer. The mutton patties were not made in the style of a smash burger, but rather like a large kebab, with spices, onions and chillies mixed in, with a satisfying crunchy crust. The main condiment on the burger was coleslaw, which was perfectly acceptable by fast food standards.
There wasn’t anything Parisian about the sandwich, but it was pretty tasty nonetheless. Very cheesy, and the pepperoni was quite good despite being made out of chicken.
We asked for the cold coffee to be made with minimal sugar, and they delivered on our request. That aside, it is made with instant coffee and is, as one would expect, essentially a milkshake.
The best part about Kent’s is the staff. They’re the friendliest, most attentive, warm people I’ve met in the service industry in a while, and I desperately hope they’re...
