I have been here for the Dussehra (Vijaya Dashami-the last day of Durga Puja) lunch with my bong friends on 9th of October 2019.

Right from time we got into the restaurant, we felt the ambience was soothing with Rabindra sangeet being played in background accompanied by sounds of Dhak which gave us the ultimate Puja feels.

Talking about the staffs, they were very courteous and polite while interacting with us, showing their responsiveness factor of service quality. The Bengali dishes which they had were very delicious bur to me it seemed to be overpriced with respect to the quantity they offered.

Oh! Calcutta has been my personal favorite when it comes to bengali food for the longest of time, specially to a Bengali who is far away from home still getting the food which tastes like home.

Now talking about my experience here I must share it was very satisfying, as per my expectations, starting from the service to the food indulgence and overall hospitality, was simply classic.

I had some of their classy dishes like “Red chillie ilish” with some “ilish jhol” and mustard on it. They went very well with steam rice. The strong flavors nicely marinated inside out of the fish did magic to my taste buds.

The most important service quality of Oh! Calcutta to me are-

· Reliability- The restaurant performed the promised service to us as we pre-booked a table of four and welcomed us with a glass of cold water.

· Responsiveness- We had a good experience with our waiter Mr. Ashutosh, who listened to our questions and queries we had on some dishes and replied us in a gentle manner.

· Assurance- The assurance dimension is quite well maintained by the restaurant as the waiting time for food was quite minimal irrespective of the...

Worst Bengali Food Ever. Except chicken tikka and fish fry the rest of the food was just waste of money and time.we arrived there just before closing of the restaurant time but I guess that is not the reason of such food served. Let's be specific. All the main courses served were super cold. Moong Dal was full of sugar, Ilish Maach Bhaja( Ilish Fish Fry) was so fried that it's like crisp fish bone. Then we asked for its fried oil . Which is supposed to be the same mustard oil in which this particular fish was fried , considered to be a delicacy but the oil served to us was regular fried oil . And for three ilish fry I was charged 3 portions of the main course. Kosha Mangsho was like a dollop of gooey spice mixture . Had a strange sweet and spice taste. Mutton pieces were all bones. Asked for the jumbo prawn in light mustard gravy . 02 piece of jumbo prawn without its ghee served in thick mustard paste . And mustard was bitter. If this is what you say as the best Bengali eatery please reconsider. I went with the thought of giving my parents a good Bengali feast but highly disappointed. We eat all of this at home as well but sometimes you feel like eating out. I would never want to step again in the restaurant. And for all of this I paid more than 7k. I was with my elerely parents that's why didn't say anything in restaurant but to my utter shock this kind of food I...

Authentic bengali cuisine available, which I have found unavailable in other parts of Delhi. If you are starving for Bengali food, the food here will taste masterclass. But if you are a visiting Bengali from Bengal, you might be a tad dissapointed. The food is good, but in my honest opinion, it is not extraordinary. Such taste is basic and very commonly available in Bengal. When, compared to that and the quantity, the prices are exorbitant. Four luchis will cost you 200. One plate of alur dom will cost you 500. Which is straight away ridiculous. Mutton Biryani has a pocket pinch around 700. Chicken Biryani around 500. One bowl is enough for one. Or may be 3 bowls enough for 4, if you order side dishes and starters. Food taste good. Biryani Alu was slightly undercooked. The chicken in biryani could be a little less dry. Otherwise, biryanis were good. Not too spicy. Luchis were homelike. Alur Dom was spicy, but not hot(definitely catering to bengali taste). Since, Bengalis are starved for the regular cuisine in Delhi, Oh Calcutta is probably the best available option here. The ambience is proper. Nothing distinguising or worth remembering. The last order at night is at 11 p.m. Parking is limited. I didnot find dedicated parking space for guests. Washrooms are well maintained. But the best part about Oh Calcutta, is the hospitality.

My recent visit to the Over-Hyped Calcutta restaurant left me with mixed feelings. While there were a few positives, there were also several disappointments that affected my overall experience.**There was a cockroach roaming on the floor** To start with, the cleanliness of the plates was a concern. It's essential for any establishment, especially a hyped restaurant, to ensure that the plates are spotless. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. Moreover, the delay in serving the food was quite frustrating. Not only did it take longer than expected, but the staff also failed to accommodate any changes to the order. This lack of flexibility left a negative impression. Moving on to the food itself, the Kosha Mutton dish had its ups and downs. Although the gravy was satisfactory, the mutton itself was not as tender as I had hoped. This discrepancy in texture affected my overall enjoyment of the dish. On a brighter note, the Luchi served at the restaurant was quite good. The taste and quality of the bread were satisfying, providing a redeeming factor amidst the other disappointments. Lastly, the Mutton Biryani fell short of expectations. The rice lacked flavor, and the mutton was dry, which made the dish less enjoyable. Additionally, the raita accompanying the biryani was not fresh, further adding to the letdown

We went here for the Durgotsav special buffet, and had to make prior reservations and were asked to arrive at the restaurant before 12:45pm for our table on account of the high footfall. We found the place to be extremely congested with some tables having such limited space to access that you feel locked in. This is fine for à la carte dining (not offered during durgapuja time), but very inconvenient for the buffet since they don’t serve anything but luchchis (pooris) at the table and you need to squeeze sideways through the narrow space to get to your table. The spread itself had quite a few non vegetarian options comprising of fresh water fish, prawns, chicken and mutton, but the gravies were quite rich so we ended up getting a stomach upset. Desserts were average and they did not have either mishti doi (sweetened yoghurt), rosogollas or ice creams. The Kala jamun, chamcham, and souffle were average and did not provide a complete Bengali experience. We ordered aam panna with vodka, but could barely taste any vodka in there- so best to avoid cocktails. I did not see any significant enhancement in buffet spread during durgapuja as compared to rest of the year to justify a 30% hike in pricing
