Today I ordered a takeaway from Pasta Street, Punjabi Bagh, and had one of the most disturbing experiences ever. While eating my pasta, I found an insect inside my food.
I immediately called the restaurant and shared images, but the responses I received were shocking and unprofessional: • One server casually said, “Ma’am, since it was in the sauce, the chef can’t place a finger on it, and now that it’s already there, we can’t do anything.” • When I spoke to their floor manager Himanshu, he was rude and impatient. He said they checked the CCTV and couldn’t find any insect, so they don’t know how it came in the box. His only solution was to replace the dish, which I clearly did not want after such an incident. • When I mentioned I would write a review and that this would look bad for them, he bluntly said, “I do not care.”
To make matters worse, he blocked my number, and when I called from another number, he cut the call as soon as I mentioned the same issue. No one from the restaurant is taking responsibility, and their customer service is appalling.
This is not just poor service—it’s dangerous and unacceptable. Trust me, be extremely careful with your food if you ever order from here. Better yet, avoid this...
Read moreLoved the Italian vibe at Pasta Street in Punjabi Bagh. The ambiance is thoughtfully done with a charming Italian theme — from the interiors to the cocktail menu inspired by iconic regions across Italy.
They offer classics like Limoncello (Amalfi), Aperol Spritz, Campari (Milan), and Bellini (Venice), which is rare to see in this part of Delhi. Their pasta menu is equally impressive — plenty of choices with different sauces and bases. I tried the prawn fettuccine, and it was flavorful and well-cooked.
Unfortunately, they were out of sparkling wine/Prosecco, so no Bellini or Aperol Spritz was available that evening. I went for a Pina Colada instead. The first one had a strong bitter/oily coconut aftertaste (probably due to extra coconut cream), but to their credit, they replaced it and made a second one that was spot-on — creamy, smooth, and balanced.
Prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and experience. Will definitely return to explore more off their Italian cocktail...
