Wok In The Clouds - Restaurant — Restaurant in Delhi

Wok in The Clouds, used to be an exceptional joint for Chinese cuisine in Punjabi Bagh. Alas, used to be. It isn't any more. I'd many a happy memories at this branch when I was younger.

In our latest visit, we felt like we were being ushered out. The focus seemed more on clearing tables one after the other instead of providing quality service. The staff was polite, but the service, not so friendly. Our menus were taken immediately after ordering just two dishes without confirming if we wanted anything else. Our sizzler was semi-cooked, wasn't sizzling at all (it was barely hot) and I found multiple pieces of hair in it. Once we were done with the main course, a server came and asked if we wanted dessert. Without any confirmation from our end, we were immediately presented with the bill.

The whole experience of being ushered into ordering and leaving asap was quite.. unwelcoming. Something I've never faced with the branch before.

My 3 stars are only for the once good...

It was our second kitty and we wanted something different as u cannot have the same food at the same restaurant everytime so someone suggested wok in the clouds. I made the reservations for 14 people as some members refused to come because of the covid scare. The restaurant is located on the club road as there was some construction going on on both sides of the road the traffic was moving in a slow pace. Moreover it was Saturday night so every restaurant on the club road was full. So it took us 15-20 minutes to reach although it was just 500 metres away. The valet was easy to find. We were allocated 3 tables on the first floor. The servers were all wearing masks. Though there was sanitizer bottles missing on every table which is a must now-a-days. The starters were good and so was the food but it was quite noisy. As i was quite hungry so i jumped on to the starters and couldn't click all the pictures. But overall the experience was good. Today was the very first time when I visited the wok in the cloud punjabi bagh, the place is right on the club road, easily acessible and you can reach the place by multiple ways according to your convenience. The place is pretty good with their moktails, I am in love with the kokum soda. It was actually a get together with a few mates and the place do have enough place hold crowd, it's a double story building. You get a smoking area as well at the first floor of the place which is compatible enough. I tried a lot of food here today and you always find a complaint when you try a lot many items but the chefs have done a great job that I couldn't fnd anything at all, the menu is nicely curated by the chefs and you can surely trust anything you order.
