RAAG by Miss Nora: A Pan-Indian Culinary Journey in Rajouri Garden There's something magical about discovering a place that blends flavors, art, and music into a seamless experience. My recent visit to RAAG by Miss Nora, a newly opened restaurant in Rajouri Garden, was just that—a beautiful symphony of Indian traditions, slow-cooked delicacies, and an ambiance that transports you across the diverse culinary landscape of India. A Celebration of Pan-Indian Flavors RAAG's menu is a well-curated tribute to India's rich and varied culinary heritage. Each dish is a story, crafted using age-old techniques that have been passed down through generations. From the melt-in-your-mouth Ek Taar ki Nihari to the rich and flavorful Kosha Mangsho, a recipe straight from Naani's cookbook, every bite at RAAG feels like a warm embrace from tradition. Other must-try dishes include: • Kaladi Bharwan Gucchi – a beautiful fusion of Jammu’s famous Kaladi cheese with the earthy flavors of Gucchi mushrooms. • Salmon Dill Tikka – a refreshing seafood twist infused with subtle herbaceous notes. • North Parda Biryani – an aromatic, slow-cooked biryani encased in a delicate dough, locking in its tantalizing flavors. • Kakori & Mutton Sukka – for those who love the deep, robust flavors of well-marinated meat. • Palak Burrata & Butter Chicken – bringing together timeless classics with an inventive touch. Each dish was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to authentic, slow-cooked techniques that let the flavors shine through. A Cocktail Experience Rooted in Tradition A great meal deserves an equally stellar drink, and RAAG's cocktail menu does not disappoint. Each concoction is infused with regional ingredients and spices, thoughtfully paired with the dishes to elevate the entire dining experience. One of the highlights was the Nawabi Sour, a signature cocktail that perfectly balanced the richness of the food with its tangy and aromatic notes. Whether you're a cocktail enthusiast or someone who loves a well-crafted drink, the bar at RAAG promises to surprise and delight. Where Food Meets Art and Music Beyond its culinary brilliance, RAAG stands out for its vibrant interior and artistic sensibilities. The restaurant features wallpaper designed by Sabyasachi, adding a regal touch to the space. The ambiance is further enriched by the soothing melodies of the sitar, creating a dining experience that's as much about culture as it is about food. From the moment you step in, RAAG immerses you in a world where art, music, and flavors harmoniously blend together. The attention to detail in every aspect—be it the food, décor, or music—makes it a place worth revisiting. Final Thoughts RAAG by Miss Nora isn't just another restaurant; it's an experience. Whether you're someone who appreciates authentic Indian flavors, enjoys a well-crafted cocktail, or simply loves to dine in a place that exudes culture and elegance, RAAG is a must-visit. Rajouri Garden has gained a new gem, and I, for one, can't wait to go back and explore more from their menu. If you're in Delhi and looking for a place that celebrates India's culinary heritage in the most refined way, RAAG is where you should be. Would you be visiting RAAG anytime soon? Let me know your thoughts if you do!

Tucked away in the heart of West Delhi, Raag by Miss Nora is a hidden gem that has revolutionized the dining experience in the region. This stunning restaurant specializes in Indian cuisine, presented with a royal flair that will transport you to the majestic courts of India's rich past. As we stepped into Raag, we were struck by the aesthetic ambiance, which exudes luxury and sophistication. The décor, with its intricate patterns, rich fabrics, and regal colors, sets the tone for a truly exceptional dining experience. Our culinary journey began with a visit to the bar, where we discovered an array of innovative cocktails and mocktails. We opted for the signature Valley of Kashmir, a mesmerizing blend of London Dry Gin, Aperol, Kashmiri Kawa Tea, apple juice, homemade saffron cordial, and carbonated water, garnished with an edible flower. This refreshing cocktail was a masterclass in balancing flavors and textures. For our non-cocktail drinkers, the Lychee and Grapefruit lemonade mocktail was a delightful alternative, offering a perfect harmony of sweet and tangy notes. Now, onto the main event – the food! Raag's menu is a love letter to Indian cuisine, with dishes carefully crafted to showcase the diversity and richness of the country's culinary heritage. We began with the Old School Butter Chicken, a classic dish elevated to new heights by Raag's culinary team. The tender chicken was cooked to perfection in a rich, creamy tomato sauce, infused with a subtle blend of spices that added depth and complexity to the dish. Next, we indulged in the Ek Taar ki Nihari, a slow-cooked lamb shank specialty from Awadh. This majestic dish was a testament to Raag's commitment to authenticity and quality. The lamb shanks, cooked to fall-off-the-bone tenderness, were served in a rich, flavorful broth that was both soothing and satisfying. No Indian meal is complete without an assortment of breads, and Raag's offerings did not disappoint. The Bun Parotta, a Madurai-style flaky parantha, was a revelation – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and utterly addictive. Finally, we concluded our meal with Raag's signature dessert, Raag Zauk E Shahi. This regal creation consisted of a Kataifi Nest, mini Gulab Jamun pebbles, and Rabri, all combined to create a sweet, creamy, and utterly decadent experience. In conclusion, Raag by Miss Nora has single-handedly elevated the West Delhi dining experience to new heights. With its stunning ambiance, exceptional hospitality, and culinary innovations, Raag is an absolute must-visit destination for foodies and anyone seeking a truly regal dining experience.

RAAG by Miss Nora - For starters- Beautiful AMBIENCE. Since we visited early evening on a weeknight the place was almost empty so it was quite peaceful. FOOD >> They have a VERY unique range of food. Would certainly love to try most dishes at least once i.e. IF they can maintain the quality and keep prices at least what they are if not exactly "reasonable" TASTE >> Ordered the 'Mutton Sukka Tacos'- The dish tasted fine. The meat was especially good BUT the "Tacos" which were essentially small R2E mini parottas were particularly chewy and hard. That sort of diminished the whole experience. Other than that the taste was very fine. DRINK >> Ordered the 'Delhi-Belly'. Well made cocktail, tasted strong enough instead of the diluted nonsense cafes push these days. The drink was beautifully made and garnished with a beautiful 'Raag' stamped tuille. BILLING & PRICE: Like most other restaurants owned by these owners, this one too is slightly on the more expensive side. Cost for 1 person came between Rs1200 to 1500. We got a 20% discount because of the ongoing offer. However, what disappointed us initially was that the bill had service charge. We prefer paying gratuity/tips in cash to the staff. But when asked to be removed, we were initially informed that we can either have a discount or have service charge removed as it is a mandatory part of the bill. This was misinformation and made us feel a little disappointed. However after a little clarification the staff removed it. So that was a bit off-putting but ok. HOSPITALITY & SERVICE >> Wonderful Staff! They take very good care of you (at least they did at the time, not sure what they may do during rush). Our server was kind enough to call the chef who understood our dietary restrictions to give us great food and accepted the feedback on the stiff parottas/tacos very constructively. OVERALL >> A GOOD Experience. Better Tacos may make it excellent next time. Will certainly be trying it out again. Hope the few shortcomings resolve and we can update this review to 5 starts from 4 stars. Thank you team Raag.
