So yet another honest and an absolute awful review for an experience that isn't worth a penny. So here's the ordeal.

I visited Dasaprakasha, Rajouri Garden/ Vishal Enclave yesterday, i.e. Sunday, April 14 with my family for a Buffet breakfast, priced at ₹199/- per head. I ordered the buffet for 3 people, and here is the experience -

Restaurant timings - 8:00 AM onwards, we entered at 8:10, the restaurant wasn't ready to serve yet. I was aked to wait for 15 minutes which was ok, in the interim the order was placed.

The order honoured was served at 8:45, yet wasn't complete and was to wait for another 10 minutes for one of the accompaniments to get served. Still it was ok

The ordeal, starts now - I asked for the cheque and I was paying via Dineout since it had a coupon and I could get another cashback of ₹200, as a Thank You gesture from Dineout/ Simpl. The cashier told me I cannot pay via dineout. On asking the reason, he mentioned I cannot pay, as a rule. I asked him, is it anywhere mentioned on the menu, which they were not able to justify

As per the latest government rules for restaurants, it needs to be mentioned outside of the restaurant and on the menu, that Service charge will be charged, however there is no mention of the same.

While I was conversing with the staff, for points 3&4, I asked the server and cashier their respective names and give me in writing that the paymemts could not be made via dineout, they denied and became arrogant and rude. The server said, "Nahi bataunga naam". I told him, I would write a review on Google and Zomato, and they guy had that audacity to say, "tumhare jaise bahut review aate hai, apna naam bata, me dekhta hun - kaise review likhta hai"

To the restaurant owner/ senior management - please not restaurants are a part of service industry and customer is next to God. I too own a restaurant, nand the 1st customer of the day is like a prayer being answered. I had an awful experience yesterday and trust me the food being served by roadside south indian carts being served is of a much better quality and taste. The icing, they are much more courteous than your staff. I had asked to waive off service charge, which was denied. the copy of bil and the buffet menu has been attached which nowhere mentions that the service charge is charged extra or I cannot pay via Dineout.

Not recommended, at all. You are off the...

During my recent visit to Dasaprakash I tried a variety of dishes, offering a mix of South and North Indian flavors.

First, I had the Dasaprakash Special Dosa which was served plain with a garnish of coconut and cashews on it It came with two separate fillings—paneer and aloo (potato)—instead of being stuffed inside the dosa. The paneer stuffing was delightful, well-seasoned, and flavorful. However, the potato stuffing left much to be desired; it was bland and lacked the punch of flavor I was hoping for. Paired with hot sambar and two types of coconut chutney, the dish had potential, but the aloo stuffing could use improvement.

Next, I tried the Uttapam Platter, which featured four different varieties of uttapam. Each one was delicious, with unique toppings and flavors. The balance of spices and the textures made this platter the highlight of the meal. Every bite was a treat, making this dish a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.

Finally, I ordered the Northern Indian Thali, which included a generous spread of rice, roti, naan, paneer shahi, dal makhni, mixed vegetables, papad, and a single piece of gulab jamun for dessert. The entire thali was fantastic! Every dish was well-prepared, with the paneer shahi and dal makhni standing out for their rich and creamy flavors. The naan was soft and fresh, and the gulab jamun was a sweet, satisfying end to the meal.

Overall Impressions The dosa had its ups and downs, with a tasty paneer stuffing but disappointing aloo filling. The uttapam platter was excellent, and the Northern Indian Thali was a perfect blend of flavors, making for a fulfilling experience.

Rating: 4/5 (A little more attention to the aloo stuffing would make the experience...

I have been regularly ordering steamed idlis from Dashprakash and the experience has been excellent. The idlys are moist, soft and absolutely Fresh. Basis my good experience I decided to go for a dine in and that's where things started to go south.

The interiors are very tastefully done and the place in general looks clean. The food however was a disappointment.

Aloo in masala dosa had too much salt. The Nort Indian fare (Paneer and Dal Makhani) was extremely average. The filter coffee was served cold. The idlis, coconut chutney and sambhar as usual was excellent and top notch. Soya Chaap tikka was delectable.

Most of the food items (with the exception of chaap and idlis were average at best).

The service was below average. That when the number of wait staff was greater than the number of occupied tables.

No refilling of sambhar without repeat reminders. One small coconut chutney served for two dosas. No spoons on table (after multiple courses) but nobody checked. 4.Nobody asked us for water (regular/mineral). It was just kept on the table and was assumed that we would opt for mineral water and then waster was not served.

The overall vibe felt off. There were people (not guests) walking in and talking to the staff. Felt a bit off.

The staff was extremely courteous and very well behaved though. No complaints in that regard but the overall experience and the food left much to be desired.

I'll not visit again for dine in (if I would it would only be for the idlis). I hope they take the feedback positively and improve upon things as I have very fond memories of Dasaprakash when it opened in Rajouri Garden a few...

Hello My love of South Indian cuisine takes me to Dasaprakash today. The restaurant was stared in hotel Ambassador New Delhi in 1979, As I came to know that it had opened a branch in this part of town it was inevitable that a visit be planned. Went for breakfast. And wow in for a surprise. They have introduced an unlimited breakfast menu at a price of Rs 199 per person. Had dosa, idli, vada, upma, halwa and repeated servings in the breakfast. The food is delicious living up to the tradition of Dasaprakash. I very highly recommend it to the lovers of South Indian cuisine. It is definitely worth a visit or rather repeat visits. @dasaprakash and there are historical moments associated with the restaurant serving the high and mighty of India. Visited again on 30.9.24 and it was a disaster. All the previous good memories and good experiences were washed away. The quality of food has gone down terribly. Ordered a mysore masala dosa and had to remind them to get the masala, and the masala was bad, by the time they got it again the dosa was cold. Sambhar had no taste. Ordered their platter and other then n the rava kesari Bhat the rest of the food was below average. I am so surprised that how can the food quality deteriorate so soon. I am definitely not again to atleast this outlet. Hope some one in the management is reading this and takes steps to improve the situation my ranking this time 3 out of 10 And just to point out guests on both the tables next to ours were also complaining
