Read moreI recently visited Himalayan Restaurant in Delhi with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The food and service left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
The first dish I tried was the chicken in Thai basil sauce. While the dish sounded promising, the taste was overwhelmingly salty, making it difficult to enjoy the flavors of the Thai basil sauce. It was as if the chef had accidentally poured an entire container of salt into the dish.
Next, I ordered the steak, hoping for a better experience. However, the steak was absolutely tasteless, lacking any seasoning or flavor. It was as if the kitchen staff had forgotten to season the meat entirely. A good steak should be a showcase of flavors, but this was just a bland, unappetizing cut of meat.
During our meal, we also encountered an unpleasant surprise in our drinks. A fly had found its way into one of our beverages, which was not only disgusting but also raised concerns about the restaurant's hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Finally, the undercooked and hard pork ribs were the last straw. The meat was so tough that it was nearly impossible to bite into, let alone enjoy. It's clear that the kitchen staff is either inexperienced or lacks proper training in preparing dishes like these.
Overall, my experience at Himalayan Restaurant was incredibly disappointing. The food was subpar, the service was lackluster, and the cleanliness was questionable. I will not be returning to this establishment and would advise others to steer clear as well. There are far better dining options...

The simple yet charming decor, along with the peaceful atmosphere, makes it ideal for casual hangouts or a quiet meal after exploring the area.
The prices are quite reasonable, making it a great spot for budget-friendly dining. However, service can be a bit slow during peak hours, so it’s best to visit when you’re not in a rush.
