Zabardast Zaffran — Restaurant in Delhi

Zabardast Zaffran , was zabardast indeed ! So this place is an authentic North Indian take out... and I gave it a try yesterday 13th Sept '18.

The food was of very good portion size and was not at all expensive, zomato delivery had schemes on it as well

Now straight to the taste,

I ordered lasuni Tikka ( chicken was tender and white ), the masala was fragrant I liked with the green chutni that came with it ..

Next I had ordered Meethi Malai murg , this was gravy, although I liked thru creamy gravy, I felt it was a bit sweet and could be made better with some white pepper to give it that edge...

Last but the best dish of the evening Rahra meat ! It was mutton cooked so tender and the gravy was absolutely heavenly, so the dish had decent amount of oil, but I did not leave u feeling heavy , complements to the chef ....

I had ordered garlic naan on the side , which went well with everything

All in all , had a great meal , authentic Punjabi / North Indian food ! Order up !

( Worst chicken I have ever tried ) Packaging - 3/5 ( The packaging looks good and promising but there was no tissue or anything inside ) Covid precaution - 1/5 ( No sanitizer ) Quality - 2/5 ( Chicken was tender but it was just bone ) Quantity - 1/5 ( for 450inr you don’t expect 4 pieces of bone ) Flavor - 1/5 ( There was no flavor! The food was super bland ) Naan - 1/5 ( One of the worst garlic naan with no flavor and chewy ) They need to work on quality and quantity both. The food is bland! Garlic naan was disgrace in the name of garlic naan. Most importantly I checked the reviews and the prices before ordering and it looked promising but it was super disappointing experience. Recommendation level - 0/5 Value...

For Indian snacks and food, I found Zabardast Zaffran an amazing place. A review of some of the things that I ordered and loved;

Makhani Dal, I really like Moti Mahal dal but this matches equally well or beats it and at much reasonable price.

Bhatti Chicken; I am one of those people who love charred stuff which sits at the bottom of any dish etc and their bhatti chicken is awesome with succulent soft chicken

Paneer Bhatti, similar as above. Just perfect with soft inside and nicely grilled outside

Tandoori Broccoli, again in season absolutely great

Soya Tandoori chaap, again one of the best I have had.....
