"Extremely Disappointing Experience"

I visited Godinho Bar and Restaurant because they offered a 15% discount through Swiggy Dineout, only to be told that they wouldn't honor it through Swiggy. Instead, they offered the 15% discount only if I paid in cash. This felt incredibly misleading, as they are listed on Swiggy Dineout, which gives customers the impression that they’re getting a fair discount by using the app. It’s almost like a soft scam—listing discounts to attract customers, then denying them upon arrival.

The food was very average, nothing special at all, and overpriced. I ordered a simple meal of pomfret fish curry, rice, and a beer, yet was charged Rs. 1500 in total, with the fish curry and rice alone costing Rs. 1000! The menu listed the rate for the pomfret as “per serving,” without a fixed price, so I strongly feel they overcharged me, likely to cover the discount. On my way out, I noticed a sign bragging about their high monthly revenue—no surprise when customers are treated this way, but it’s certainly not due to quality or customer service.

I regret this experience and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values transparency and quality. Tagging Swiggy as well to make them aware of how this restaurant is handling their offers.
