While walking on Baga Beach, we were approached by staff from Andrew’s Beach Restaurant, who handed us a flyer advertising a Buy One Get One Free drinks offer. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, what followed was a blatant scam.

We ordered a couple of beers listed on the menu at ₹400 for 3 small Heinekens and cocktails priced at ₹500 each, expecting the second cocktail to be free as per the offer. However, when the bill arrived, they charged ₹1,000 for the cocktails, claiming the offer didn’t apply to two different cocktails—even though they were the same price. The waiter flipped his story and denied ever saying the deal worked that way.

For the beers, they charged ₹300 more than the listed price, claiming the rates had changed that morning. To make it worse, they had taken away the original menu after we ordered, and when we asked for it again, they brought out a “new” menu with the higher prices.

This seems like a calculated scam, assuming customers won’t notice due to the lively atmosphere or alcohol consumption. While arguing with the manager, I realized we weren’t alone—other tables were facing similar issues with different staff members.

Advice: Take a photo of the menu when you order to avoid falling into this trap. The lack of transparency and integrity at this place is appalling. Avoid Andrew’s Beach Restaurant at all costs unless you want to be scammed.

Let me clarify a few things: Teach Your Staff to Be Honest: When we were approached, your staff specifically mentioned a Buy One Get One Free offer for cocktails/mocktails and repeatedly said, “You can mix and match.” If that was not allowed, your staff should have clarified upfront, not misled us and then changed their stance. Stop Using Sticker Prices: Your staff showed us a menu with sticker prices, and after taking the order, replaced it with a different menu to justify the inflated charges. This is outright deceptive. Fix Your Attitude: Your cashier only corrected the bill after 30 minutes of argument, during which your waiters gathered around, laughing amongst themselves. This unprofessional behavior reflects poorly on your establishment. Train Your Staff to Respect Customers: The most shocking part was when one of your waiters blatantly said, “We don’t care, sir. We have new crowds every day. This is a tourist place; we don’t give a damn.” Such an attitude is unacceptable in any business, let alone one in hospitality.

Your attempt to dismiss our feedback as misunderstanding further proves how little you value your customers. Instead of making excuses, take responsibility for your practices. Tourists deserve respect and fair treatment, not scams...

In my honest opinion. J would suggest my fellow friends to not visit this shack. Don't waste your money 1: taste is bad 2: portions are small. 3: service is slow ( every when no one else was at his shack except our family) 4: for a huge group of 20 he was not even ready to serve sauf in proper propertion. When we asked for more they rejected us. 5: Customer satisfaction is not their key. 6: When I went to bring this to the notice of the owner. He was extremely arrogant and laughed.
