Went to Bacana today and everything was incredible! I love how the focus is more on food and at reasonable prices. The decor is quirky and the service is fantastic. The food here is reimagined, flavourful and in sync with the vibe! Makes sense coming from a chef who has worked at a Michelin starred restaurant eh? While everything was exceptional, if I had to tell you to pick a few - I’d recommend the Tambdi Bhaji Patta Chaat and the Sweet Corn Dangar for the vegetarian starters and the fermented chilli garlic prawns and cafreal mutton bheja fry for non vegetarians. For the mains go for the elephant foot kofta curry or king prawn bisque curry and for dessert the amazing Goan Malaiyo. For drinks, the elderflower mojito and ginger passion punch were fab. While they are listed as cocktails on the menu, they can be turned into mocktails without a fuss! The music is not too loud, the feels are lovely, colourful and pop and they are pet friendly. The parking lot is right next door and the valet will do the deed for you. Perfect with your friends to chill or a fun date night!

I'm told a Michelin star chef is the force behind Bacana - and what a force it is! 👏🏻✨🔥 Absolutely loved my experience at Bacana - finally a non pretentious space in Assagao where the focus is on the food and not dumb distractions 🙌🏻 Honest to goodness and very reasonably priced - you can't get cocktails for 300 anywhere in Assagao! 😄 We started with the fermented chilly oil prawns, which were excellent. I stopped up that chili oil with extra poi. I would've repeated that for the mains, but I wanted to try different dishes from their menu. The okra Malabar parontha tacos were fun and I was happy to see bhindi be the main star of a dish :) We ended the meal with the prawn curry with poi and Malabar parontha. Again flavorful and quite excellent. I wish we'd have had space for dessert, but we were too full. 100% going back and taking more friends along. Top notch vibes overall, and the service was very warm and also very helpful. Great job! 🙌🏻

Banana was such a pleasant surprise! In the midst of the ‘fanciness’ of assagao, we discovered this gem that was fun, didn’t itself too seriously, but took its food very seriously! The prices were very affordable, and the portion sizes were generous! We thoroughly enjoyed the prawn curry, the Irani style kheema ghotala, and their take on a Serradura! The standout for us though was the patta chaat - absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend a visit if you’re looking for great food, a chill atmosphere, and very pocket friendly prices!

You dont want to miss out on this newly opened restaurant in Assagao, called Bacana! The place is vibrant and amidst the greenery. This restaurant serves different dishes across the country with a modern twist using locally sourced ingredients. we absolutely loved and devoured on mini crab hot edog, tambdi bhaji patta chaat, sweet corn dangar & tender coconut ceviche. Also, highly recommend to try their prawn bisque curry with white rice, chicken kheema ghotala and elephant foot kofta curry. The lemon basque cheesecake and their version serradura...
