Boba Zai — Restaurant in Goa

Visiting this Boba Zai offered a mixed bag of experiences. On the upside, the ambiance of the establishment was undeniably its strongest suit. The decor was tastefully done, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made for a cozy spot to unwind or catch up with friends. The use of lighting and furniture created a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment, making it an inviting place to spend time.

However, the food and drink quality did not live up to the expectations set by the lovely ambiance. The bubble tea, a centerpiece of their menu, was underwhelming in flavor and texture. It lacked the rich, balanced taste that aficionados of bubble tea crave, and the tapioca pearls were not the chewy, delightful bites one would anticipate but rather had an inconsistent texture.

Additionally, the presence of mosquitos was a notable detractor from the overall experience. It was distracting and uncomfortable, undermining the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. This issue suggested a need for better pest control measures to ensure a more enjoyable environment for guests.

As the name suggests, we went for a boba tea but oh my god, what a terrible tea. We ordered hibiscus tea with lemon popping boba, the tea was basically a green tea in the name of hibiscus, also it was brown black and not red / deep wine colour that hibiscus generally gets. The boba was sooooo stale, terrible terrible taste, did not for one bit taste like lemon but just sugar filled with something very terrible which I cannot place but it was sour and also just a dust like texture.

Writing this review while still at Boba Zai. We are having Taro Milk Tea, Mango Matcha Tea, and Caramel Latte, Cappuccino and Potato Waffle. All the drinks are so refreshing, just the right amount of sweet and the boba is of amazing quality.

This place was an accidental find but was such a good one. It's cozy and lovely here and the people running the cafe are wonderful. Absolutely underrated and a definite hidden gem. I am glad I came to Boba Zai and wish the owners best in all of the...
