Felix — Restaurant in Goa

We had heard a lot about this place so we headed here. The vibe was pretty good but the good times ended right there. It took them 25 minutes just to get a bottle of water for us(which is Rs. 150 btw). I asked the server to check if they have the choriz eggs Benedict and if they didn't then give me the regular eggs Benedict. He agreed and went to check. We placed an extensive order ranging from french toasts to pancakes to various kinds of omelettes and sides of bacon, and sausages (pork and chicken). An additional side dish that was ordered was 'sauteed mushrooms' (read about this in the end)

The flow of food started with omelettes(not seasoned at all) which personally were cooked in a way where we had to hunt for the ham when we weren't distracted from the huge chunk of not melted cheese. Also I would love to have a soz omelette which is actually delicious at 1/10th the price and is readily available on the roadside all over goa. The French toast and Vietnamese hot coffee were the only saving grace which were very good but then again so overpriced. All I wanted to have was a good order of eggs Benedict but apparently according to the server we weren't the ones who confirmed that particular order and it was our fault where I repeated myself twice to tell him that 'if you don't have choriz eggs Benedict then get me the normal ones'. The breakfast order was average and especially overpriced. Except for the French toast the taste of the omelettes was quite pedestrian.

After we had the conversation with this particular server about the 'confusion' about the eggs Benedict we specifically told him twice not to get the side order of sauteed mushrooms since we had already finished our main breakfast. But it seems this guy decided to ignore what we said just like earlier with Benedict and he still got the sauteed mushrooms. His attitude was something that needed adjustments so we decided to speak with the manager.

The manager himself was probably so busy and maybe decided not to speak with us which basically shows they're not good to listen to criticism and feedback. The server's attitude and the manger's ignorance made sure we would not come back...

I don't usually give a review but this review needs to be heard by the restaurant and it's staff! First of all. Where was the manager on a Sunday morning? There were about 5 staff on the floor and not one of them had a clue on what their roles were. We seated ourselves at a table and waited 20 minutes for someone to bring us a menu after trying multiple times to get their attention. I don't mind getting a menu and water myself but there was no table for either items so we had to hassle the staff after a long time of waiting. It was a hot morning too! Once we got menus and placed our orders, my juice and food came out way before my husband even got his juice on the table. I had drank and eaten my meal and my husband's juice and food still hadn't arrived, even though we placed our orders at the same time. Not only that, he also ordered the champion breakfast which is huge and it came with only one piece of toast and no butter. Something you pay around 800 rs for. We asked for another slice of toast as the champion breakfast has 3 eggs. We didn't get the extra toast in till another 15 minutes later after yet again waving down one of the staff to see what is taking so long. Must've had to ask the guy 5 times to see where it is. On top of all of that, there were about 5 tables of customers all having issues and complaining about it to each other. Not one of them looked impressed! I over heard a guy saying he had waited 45 minutes just for his coffee to come out. We asked for our bill and again it took them 15 minutes to bring that too! Such a disappointing experience and very very poor customer service. Could be such a great cafe with loads of potential. Please fix your service because your really letting yourselves down!

PS: We asked to speak to the manager before leaving and the staff said they will get them. After more waiting we asked again only for them to tell us the manager will be in at 2. Such a waste of my time and their time. I don't believe we should have paid full price! Probably worse customer service I've...

Where do I start ? This is one of those places that look great on paper but a disaster in reality. We were so hyped to try out the breakfast here and little did we know that I would end up leaving the place without having the item I had ordered. Absolutely horrible management, no sense of ownership, food not up to mark, terrible service. Also please note that this experience was at a time wherein we were the second table and only two people. The food menu for breakfast is very exclusive but not clear. We ordered two way eggs and egg florentine which I was looking forward to having. We were served our mocha first which ultimately got cold since we were waiting for the food to arrive, no idea why this was done. And when the food arrived we only got the eggs two ways which had the toast missing and honestly the way things were presented on the plate looked like it was made with no interest, my 7 year old niece would put together a better looking plate. My egg florentine was nowhere to be seen and I was starving. We were done having our mocha and still no eggs Florentine. As I looked at my partner finishing here plate, I was confident that they missed writing down the order, so we decided to make a move and not complain since it's a waste of my time. We requested the bill and to my surprise that was precisely the time when my order arrived. However, we returned the order and the waiter went straight to the manager (the same person who took our order). Guess what happened next, absolutely nothing. No one apologised, no one came to have a talk, it was straight up pay the bill and move on. To make things worse, someone else came to accept the bill and the manager (I'm assuming she is the manager) just magically disappeared. Like I said, no sense of ownership. Would never recommend this place. Keeping the experience aside, I'm a huge foodie and whatever was served was not up to mark. I would highly recommend trying out other places and not spending your precious time...
