This is to contact the management of Goan Spice Arpora branch. Can you please instruct the waiters NOT to touch the guests and their babies? We visited on 9th Jan - 2:30 pm. Has lemon chicken, red pasta, 2 thalis and a prawn dish. We were the only guests with a baby. A waiter serving another table kept talking, touching our baby. Then even took our baby in his arms!! I was on the other side, before I could stop, he had already taken our baby in his arms. With all due respect, people serving food and cleaning the tables SHOULD NOT TOUCH A BABY. Never visiting this restaurant again. Anyone with a baby, please refrain from visiting this place. UPDATE - the waiter seemed to have responded below. Says that the baby was uncomfortable, so he was taking care!!! This is an absolute lie. The baby had just woken up from nap and was happily watching the big TV. It's the waiter who kept disturbing her. Kept stopping by our table to touch her. Incident 1 - waiter to the baby - "hey you woke up, dont you want food?". Incident 2 - Went beside the baby and touched her arms. Incident 3 - Simply came and picked up the baby and walked away 5-6 steps. My brother immediately went after him and took the baby back. Now he is making up FALSE stories to justify his action. If there are CCTV cameras, please see the recording. The baby did not make a single noise. And the point is - even if somebody's baby is uncomfortable, it's the family who will take care. The waiter simply cannot come and pick up a child. Did we tell him to take care of our child? NO. Did he take our permission before touching our baby? No. I have visited so many restuarants with the baby, never had this kind...
Read moreEvery fish thali is judged by the fish fry that comes along with it and the one that came for was not good. We ordered two thalis. One with surmai masala fry and one with chonak rawa fry and we were disappointed as hell. Chonak rawa fry was too oily and the fish was falling apart, not in a good way. Surmai masala fry wasn't that great either. Other items like kismoor, veg item and fish curry were good but standard and overall the experience was not satisfactory. We had ordered prawns Koliwada as well and what we got was prawns bhaji that were deep fried. After the meal We got a very bloating feeling that we had never had before. We have been coming to Goa since last 10 years, so I would encourage others to take our...
Read moreWe visited this place on a local recommendation for non-veg food. While the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the hygiene was extremely poor and honestly unacceptable.
It’s an open garden restaurant, and we saw big rats roaming around the seating area. This is a serious health concern and shows a complete lack of basic cleanliness and maintenance. No matter how good the service is, hygiene should never be compromised, especially in a restaurant.
The food taste was just average and prices were on the higher side. Given the poor hygiene, I would not recommend this place unless they make major...
