🍴 Restaurant Name: Laurianas 📍 Location: Next to Girish Ranche Ghar
🍽️ Food: I recently visited Laurianas, a Goan-based family restaurant that serves seafood, red meats, chicken, and some vegetarian options. While the concept of a Goan-based restaurant seemed promising, I was disappointed with the quality of the food.
The Manchow soup, which I had ordered as a starter, was watery, and the veggies in it were half-raw. I also noticed that there was hardly any chicken, and the soup tasted like it had only soya sauce. The stuffed mushrooms, which I had ordered as a vegetarian dish, were also a letdown. They were poorly cooked and lacked flavor.
I must say that the menu had a decent selection of dishes, and the presentation was visually appealing. However, the execution fell short, and the flavors were not up to the mark.
👨🍳 Service: The service was fast, but unfortunately, the waiters did not offer water or pay much attention to our needs. We had to ask for the water multiple times, and it was not served until we requested it twice.
🌟 Ambiance: The decor of the restaurant was decent, but the overall vibe felt like a shady bar, which was not to my liking. The lighting was dim, and the TV was loud, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere.
💬 Overall Impression: Overall, my experience at Laurianas was not satisfactory. The quality of the food was below average, and the service lacked attentiveness. The ambiance did not create a welcoming environment for diners.
In conclusion, I would suggest that Laurianas focuses on improving the quality of their food, training their staff to be more attentive, and creating a more welcoming ambiance. While the concept of a Goan-based family restaurant is promising, there is much room for improvement in the execution of their dishes...

Their ambiance is decent for family/friends get togethers. Apart from AC and outdoor seating, they have separate AC rooms that can be booked for parties.
Must try: Special fish thali, Prawns masala rava fry, Mackerel fish cutlet, Kingfish masala fry, Caramel Pudding
We ordered: Special fish thali: Must try for fish thali lovers! Generous amount of rava fried fish was the highlight. We were served 2 Kingfish pieces and prawns. Even the other items in thali like tisryanche sukkhe, prawns kismoor were delicious. Mackerel fish thali: Recommended for mackerel recheado fans. We are and we absolutely loved it. Recheado masala was on point. Prawns masala rava fry: This was too good and it hit the right spot. Prawns were fresh and tasty. Kingfish masala fry: Well, their recheado masala is amazing and we loved this preparation! Not too spicy, the flavours were perfect. Mackerel fish cutlets: Highly recommended. Perfect munchies to go with your drinks. Check out their snacks platters which is great option for sharing within large groups. Lepo rava fry: Fresh, crispy and delicious Caramel pudding: Highly recommended. This is by far one of the best caramel pudding we have had in Goa. Drinks: They have fresh seasonal Urrak and Urrak based drinks. In mocktails, their classic Pinacolada is a treat for tastebuds.
Another highlight is their party special menu consisting of party platters, whole roasted chicken/fish etc.
Cost: Most of the items are within range of 220-350 bucks
Service: Quick and prompt. Courteous and helpful staff.

Read moreWe visited this restaurant after nearly two years. I still remember our first visit in January 2023, our server was a very jolly guy. If you'd see him you'd think he's a Goan by his looks but I think he was from Odisha. He served us very well, very much friendly and attentive.
The dishes were very nice. One of the specialties of this restaurant is the Goan cuisine. They decorate this restaurant very nicely during festive events. I remember the New Year setup was very clean and neat.
Our visit this time was around Christmas season. The decor wasn't really that good but felt like we had entered into a local Goan bar with the dark red lighting that was showcased in the non-AC section. This restaurant also has an AC section available too. Our server this time was a young local guy, he was very attentive to us.
We had Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice, Chicken Picardo and Paneer Chilly. Each of these good items were nice. The fried rice didn't feel tasty until we had the accompaniments from Chinese Fried Rice. Quantity is pretty good. Chicken Picardo however tasted like fish, probably the same oil to cook the chicken the chef must have used for our Chicken. I felt this was lazy and unprofessional on his part. The Paneer Chili was decent, not bad.
Parking space is not a problem here, ample space is available. Usually, everyone of the servers here are nice and welcoming. If you're here, your best bet would be to only try Goan cuisine. If you need something luxurious and worthwhile for your time, avoid this place. It's okay for a budget spender for a decent amount of food taste. Prices of dishes are...
