Master chef old Goa restaurant - Received Non-Veg Despite Ordering Vegetarian — Deeply Hurt and Shocked Hey everyone, I’m posting here because I’m genuinely disturbed and disappointed by an experience I had with Master chef restaurant old Goa today, and I feel it needs to be spoken about publicly. As when I called to complain the restaurant to make a complaint but response was very stocking by owner - He said it's possible you need to order from veg restaurant not here, he was not apologies for very big mistake.

I specifically ordered a vegetarian dish

However, when the food arrived, I was horrified to find that they had sent me a non-vegetarian Gobhi Schezwan with chicken bowl instead.

As someone who follows a strict vegetarian diet— for religious, ethical, and personal reasons — even handling non-vegetarian food is distressing for me, let alone receiving it to eat unknowingly.

This is not just a wrong item issue— it’s a complete disregard for customer trust, faith, and emotions. Food is deeply tied to many people’s beliefs, and such gross negligence is unacceptable. It made me feel hurt, disrespected, and extremely uncomfortable.

Mistakes like these can have very serious consequences — what if someone had an allergy, or religious restrictions that cannot be violated? It’s not just about customer service, it's about basic respect and responsibility.

Has anyone else faced such issues? How did you deal with it?

At first sight of this place you might sound like "is this the place?" But yes. This restaurant or fast food or hotel, whatever u call, has 2 six seater tables and 1 four seater table. We managed with 2 six seater tables as we were a group of 10 adults and 3 children. Took a while to get the food because we had so many orders. That's acceptable. This is a small restaurant in size. U have no hand wash. You will have to wash outside the restaurant. When I say outside, there is plenty of space for parking. Find a place n wash your hands. So make the best use of spoons and tissues. Food is great. We planned for this food house after Google reviews and yes, the food was great. The owner was very courteous n polite. If he could manage getting the neighbor space for his restaurant, I guess he can increase...

We were driving around last night craving tandoori chicken and just came across this small place near the old goa petrol pump but as we sat down sharing our table with other people (the place is really small for individual groups but if you're ok with communal eating then it's ok) we were just blown over buy the amazing food !
