My brother randomly made plans to take me to lunch here because he said the place was really good. Place looks very small and not so great to look at, but the food was fancy.
Made sure I go ahead of time to confirm that they had a salad so I could get my veggies in, haha.
I ordered the summer salad with some grilled chicken. It had lettuce, pumpkin seeds, almonds, raisins, olives, orange peels, mandarin something dressing. I asked for dressing on the side And after agreeing the server came back and said the greens were already tossed in the dressing. I said I want it on the side, so instead to just give me some extra plain greens. My plan was to add some more greens to tone it down. It really didn't make sense to me why salad greens would already be tossed in the dressing. They would get really soggy that way.
When the salad came he said they made it from scratch instead. I still wanted more greens on the side and the guy was quite hesitant to give me some. Took some time and then actually agreed to get me more lettuce. Ended up even charging for it! I was quite surprised.
The salad itself was really good. I think the almonds, pumpkin seeds and raisins were already tossed in that dressing because they were sweet by themselves. The chicken was also quite oily in the way it was cooked so I had to press the oil all out with some tissue papers. Only added a little dressing in and everything went well together that way. Ended up not having most of the olives and pumpkin seeds and such because it was just too much fat!
I also ordered the Turkish eggs and they were amazing! Poached really well and went well with the garlicky yogurt and chili oil. I ended up having only one yoke and all the whites to reduce on the fat more. That bread on the side was perfection! I ended up having it plain at the end! So fresh and toasted and just good.
My brother ordered the Peri Peri Chicken Sandwich, Eggs Benedict with Ham as well as a French Toast! That sandwich was beautiful! I had a bite and loved it! Would have totally had one of my own if I would not having a low-er carb lunch. He really liked the Benedict as well. And the French Toast... He loved it too. I tried some of the French toast and it was a bit too sweet for me. Extra extra too sweet. Maybe some peanut butter on top and it would have been fine.
Overall a really good experience here. Food was and plated well too, but actual dishes were not too fancy...
Read moreGreat place to have some pretty good egg based brunch. They also have veg options, which we tried. They make their own bread, and one of the good ones. We tried Pesto Sandwich, and the bread was so nicely pan roasted, it was crisp & buttered to perfection. The taste was also ingredient based (not masala), and the pesto sauce was adding complementary flavors, without overpowering it. Although it was a bit runny in consistency. 4.2/5. We also tried Banana and Walnut Pancakes. The pancake bread was amazing, again due to homemade bread - it was fluffy and soft. Pancake didn't have much taste of it's own, and the honey and banana were not enough for it in terms of balance of taste. Overall bread heavy - 4/5. Still it was great to have. How to Reach: To reach the place, find the board, and park inside, right straight you'll see a small road to a place, this is it. Ambience: It's has an elemental style.
