Goa Garden Resort - 5 Bedroom Villa with private pool at South Goa — Hotel in Goa

Stayed at Sandray for a get together with college friends. The place is small and cosy.They have only 5 apartments(one is a honeymoon villa detached from the main structure and very private with a private terrace). The upstairs apartments are very private as well as they have an extra door near the stairs. The small size ensures a service at a personal level. Staff are hardworking and friendly and always willing to help. Liked the fact that reservations team send you detailed mails explaining the fine print which is often overlooked while booking. Ensures there is no surprises(hidden charges etc that i hv seen in other places)when u arrive at the resort.also they are quite prompt to reply to queries and very accommodating of your requests. ||||The rooms are quite big and has some equipment for cooking as well,in case you are in the mood (microwave, hotplate,fridge,sm utensils,etc). Bathroom has a small tub which was very nice.place is very clean and value for money. They allow 4 people at no extra charge per apartment.||||I was a bit apprehensive after some of the previous reviews about the pool, but it seems they have fixed whatever issue they had. We spent half of our time in the pool and it was great. My friend's 2 year old could have stayed in the pool his whole life if he had his way!||||Food was delicious.restaurant was under renovation, but they let us have the food wherever we pleased-next to the pool,in the balcony,in the room. That experience was very different from other places i hv stayed.||||The place is a bit far frm the beach (colva beach is 15-20 mins walk probably). We rented a car frm the airport which made a lot of sense (the resort gave us a contact number) as we could take the car frm the airport and drop it back there. Saves taxi fare of 1600 rs roundtrip straightaway.so it was very convenient for us. benaulim beach is a better beach which is a 10 min drive away. U can also rent motorcycles at colva beach. Resort can also help u book car with driver for sightseeing or auto.||||The place is calm and quiet. Very safe as it is just next to a police station. Great place for family (especially if u hv kids who love the pool), friends or couples for romantic getaways. Would recommend it to my friends and family. :)||||P.S. if u have a big group like 15 or 4-5 families travelling together, book the whole resort. That will be amazing. for 2 families, get adjacent apartments if possible and for couples or single family,probably villa is the best option. All the accommodation is the same and all are facing the pool and garden. But as it is a residential neighbourhood, u might hv to keep noise...

We had booked the entire villa and this was the biggest mistake. The rooms smelled damp. No proper service. Denied of soaps, until you ask for something nothing is provided. The AC's did not work for 2 days and when asked the service guy was adamant enough and was almost shouting at us. The owner had promised for a early check in and late check out and charged us extra as well. The adamancy is at peak. We did not get either early check in or late check out. Wifi promised but you will never get one. The kitchen is closed.

The chlorine levels in pool was so high that the fabric color changed. No hygiene, the bedsheets were too old but we had no options. The current was on and off for all the days of the stay and they did not have a proper back up. They do have utensils to cook but will not give out until they are pestered. I will never recommend this property to anyone.

I do not know how the booking platforms have given good ratings and suggest that these companies actually send someone in person before listing these properties.

You will be deceived by the photos posted and the property is not as it is posted.

There are way good properties around Colva and Benaulim.

Worst stay but Goa...

Well, don't go with the name. There is no luxury at the resort. The two staff who served us were very, very good, but they do need more staff and an upgrade. Internet in the upstairs room was non-existent for my whole stay of 14 days 😔. Like I said, the two staff members who were there were very good, and everything we asked they would go out their way to help. Better towels rather than the cheap towels would definitely be an improvement. The swimming pool was amazing. The staff did a great job to keep it up to spec and clean. reply to owner. I had hired the whole place exclusive to me, so I didn't think there would be any reason to ask for permission for the party. If you needed more money, I would have been happy to pay more. Also, cameras facing the pool are a wee bit disturbing as I had teenagers using the pool, so maybe this would be something you should look at removing 🤔. With regards to WiFi, even the front room upstairs didn't get it 🙄...
