What a wonderful hidden gem of a place to stay. I ended up staying in two types of rooms while relaxing in this little paradise. The double room was spacious, large bathroom, beautiful hot water and an air con that worked a treat, with a balcony to chill out on away from the midday sun. I then moved into a hut with ocean views that was just delightful. Each hut is surrounded by a canopy of palms and plants that make this place a hidden oasis. The hut I had was air conditioned, that worked so well, the place would cool down in five minutes in the middle of a 35 degree day, it has a kettle, fan, hot water if needed, and the thing I really liked was plenty of hanging space for clothes in side from overhead rails. A deck attached was a great place to watch the beach surrounded by greenery on all sides. Under the hut was another chill out area to lay in a hammock, or lie and have a sleep on a chair. There is a small supermarket attached to the complex, with a great range of goods at affordable prices. Lots of places to eat near by. Finally the staff, so friendly, helpful and always with a smile. So, if looking for a hidden gem, that is right on the beach, this is a place I would recommend.

Secretr Garden is really a secret gem in agonda Beach. Located at the beginning of the agonda beach and hidden in green garden but also a beachfront which gives privacy from people walking on the beach unlike other beachfront cottages. This property and the owner, Mr. Godwin Fernadise, both are wonderful. We celebrated New Year and the 50th birthday of my brother with family. Mr. Godwin made a very special arrangement for our event on their beach restaurant. The food served was delecious, and all the staff of the restaurants and resort joined us in our celebrations, including Mr. Godwin. Every staff member, including Mr. Godwin danced with us on a new year eve and our birthday celebration. Thank you, Godwin Sir, for a wonderful stay at your resort and looking forward to visiting again..

I had an amazing stay in the beach-facing wooden rooms, which were not only clean and cozy but offered breathtaking views just steps from the ocean. Falling asleep to the gentle sound of waves each night was incredibly calming, and the direct access to the pristine, serene Agonda Beach made every moment unforgettable. The staff were warm and attentive, ensuring a smooth and relaxing experience. Though hot water was limited on cloudy days due to solar heating, it was a minor issue compared to the overall charm of the place. Exploring the quiet beach, where a peaceful river meets the sea, and discovering the nearby small fishing village nestled in lush coconut plantations, made this stay truly special and memorable.

We stayed here for 3days in A.C beach hut and delux beach room. The beach hut were more expensive than the delux room. But, the delux room was much more spacious and clean. The location is really nice and the good thing end here. I would not recommend beach hut to anyone specially to people who are claustrophobic. The space is very very small. After a queen size bed not even an arms lenght was left in any corner. The bathroom didnot have any place to even hang your clothes or keep basic toiletries. It was a suffocating experience here. I could have managed with the size of the room if the A.C worked properly. 95% of the time the A.C was not working. On the top of that there was no power backup. Which we were not aware of. Goa has power shortage issue but generally places have power back up but this place didnt. And we really struggled in a small dingy room with technically no A.C in Goa's heat. Also, there are some construction going on in the premises which is fine but it wasn't because the construction stretched till 7 or 8 pm and usually started early in the morning. It was a noise population and we couldn't have a peaceful sleep at all. I observed that the voltage was fluctuating when the construction instrument would start and I may be wrong. We complained about the power shortage issue. Which the person at the reception that time blamed on the govt and when asked why there was no power backup, we were told that because we are paying very less for the room, there was no power backup. If you are planning to go here please book the delux room so you dont suffocate like we did. Also, the person at the reception told that it was mentioned at the site that no power backup was available at the premise but we couldn't find that. So, please be...

Disappointing Experience at Beach Side Hotel

We've been loyal visitors to Agonda Beach for over 15 years, and it's been our go-to spot. Being a Goan, agonda was our favourite spot. However, our recent stay at secret garden was a letdown. While the location and hut were beautiful, several issues marred our experience.

Overpriced and Lacking Basic Amenities

We booked three premium huts during peak season (December 21 to January 4) and paid almost double the regular rate. However, the rooms lacked basic amenities like handwash, toilet paper, and sufficient water (only 500ml per room was provided for seven people, including two kids). Though after I informed the manager, he sent me the water.

Dog Menace and Safety Concerns

The presence of over 30 stray dogs on the beach was alarming. These dogs barked throughout the night, disturbing my infant and our pet. They even attacked my husband and pet during a walk. We took pictures as evidence. This is a serious safety concern that the hotel needs to address.

Noise disturbance

The restaurant played loud music late at night and early in the morning (7 am), despite quiet time starting at 10 pm. This was disturbing, especially since breakfast service only begins at 9 am.

Lack of Staff and Amenities Near Premium Huts

As a parent traveling with an infant, I needed access to a fridge to store milk. However, there were no staff or amenities available in the campus near premium huts, and the restaurant didn’t help either.

Overall, our experience at secret Agonda was disappointing, and we hope the management takes these issues seriously to improve the...
