A Culinary Journey at Taste of Tamil: A Flavorful Experience
If you're looking for an authentic dining experience that delights the senses, look no further than Taste of Tamil restaurant. Our recent visit to this gem was nothing short of spectacular, leaving us eager to return for more.
A Flavorful Dinner
We arrived at Taste of Tamil excited for dinner. We decided to indulge in a variety of dishes: golden crispy prawns, kingfish masala fry, chicken Chettinad, and prawns biryani.
Each dish that graced our table was a testament to the chef's skill and commitment to flavor. The golden crispy prawns were a fantastic start—perfectly seasoned and fried to a delectable crunch. The tender kingfish masala fry was bursting with spices that danced on our palate, delivering a satisfying depth to our meal. The chicken Chettinad was a standout—rich in flavor, with a delightful heat that was balanced with aromatic herbs. Finally, the prawns biryani arrived, fragrant and beautifully presented. Each spoonful was a delightful blend of spices, perfectly cooked prawns, and fluffy rice that had us craving more.
A Breakfast to Remember
So enamored by our dinner experience, we couldn't resist visiting Taste of Tamil again the following morning for breakfast. We ordered upma and idli sambhar, and both dishes did not disappoint. The upma was fluffy and subtly spiced, making it a comforting choice to start the day. The idli sambhar, soft idlis paired with a flavorful lentil stew, was a warm reminder of traditional South Indian breakfasts that we absolutely relished.

We have been in India for over two weeks this trip and have been to India may times before but this is some of the tastiest best value food i have been served.
We had massala popads for a starter and they left our mouth popping and ready for the next course.
We then had Prawn Curry and Chicken Chettinad both were different but amazing tase and quality wise.
If you are looking for fast pre cooked food move along, but if you are willing to wait while each dish is cooked from scratch fresh then this is the place to be.
We were in Agonda for three nights and we eat here twice, we have been to Agonda many times so we know the standard of other places, this exceeds them all.
I suggested to the owner that she should offer cooking courses, where you eat what you cook, ask he about it. If we had time left I would want to know how she produces these dishes.
I have ripped the previous picture of the Chettinad off from a previous reviewer because I dug into mine straight away, but mine looked...
Read moreThis place is in South Goa, Agonda. We had been eating food in Goa (burgers/ pasta/ pizza) for almost a week now and were quite tried of that kind of food. We then came across Taste of Tamil as it was put very close to where we were staying. The food here is tasty! Absolutely home like! No compromise on quality! Light on the pocket as well! And most importantly, served and hosted by a very sweet family here. Infact my brother had visited the same place 15 days before me and he recommended it to me. The folks at Taste of Tamil make the dish also as per your requirement.
If your in South Goa, you should try this place for some amazing South Indian food, especially Dosas! We had ordered 1. Ghee Roast Masala Dosa, 2. Ven Pongal 3. Veg Upma, 4. Curd Rice and 5. Tamarind Rice!
