SFX Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Goa

One of the Picturesque places in Goa to Sip & Dine.. This place overlooks the famous Aguada fort and is located in the magnanimous Taj resort with the same name ‘Taj Fort Aguada Resort’.. The resort is located in Candolim area of Goa and is in vicinity of major tourist areas such as Panaji, Candolim beach, Sinquerim beach.. The resort has multiple restaurants serving multiple cuisines from across the world.. but since we visited the place during evening our plan was to have some good drinks with amazing food, hence we visited the SFX lounge bar which directly overlooks the Sinquerim beach and Aguada fort.. The seating at the SFX bar provides a beautiful view of Sea and Rocks and makes up for a very serene and peaceful ambience.. We ordered mocktails Green Orchid, Mango Mule, Lemongrass Iced tea and Scotch whisky Royal Salute which were all finely prepared and delicious.. In munching we tried their exotic veggies Pizza & Spider web pakoda which very innovative in presentation and delicious in taste.. The best course was the dessert course where we tried the Tiramisu and Chocolate sweet which were some of best desserts we had tasted.. The pricing of all items is a little bit on the higher side as can be expected of a 5 🌟place like this.. but it is totally worth it with ambience and service that is provided here.. There is a direct entrance from the Taj Resort to the Fort Aguada which is an added advantage for people living and dining here to avoid the huge rush and queue for the fort sometimes.. Visited this lounge around Sunset on the first night of my stay at Taj Fort Aguada. I was so excited to go here because of the reviews. Now let me start with the good things. The view is good but it's even better from outside the lounge or even from the hotel lobby. The food was good and the mocktails were even better. The live music just outside the lounge is amazing. But again you don't have to actually be at the lounge for the same. You can be anywhere near the hotel lobby and swimming pool to hear it. Now let's come to the bad. The service was non existent. Not something you would expect from a lounge in a 5 star resort. Had to track down the waiter for 20 mins to just place the order and another 20 to just get the mocktails. The food probably took another 20. Mind you there was barely anyone when we entered but other tables got served before we did. The only reason we even got the drinks or the food was because the manager came from somewhere else to check on the table. You cannot expect patrons to be ok with this kind of service. You have to give at least good service when you are charging them 5 star money. And this is how they serve a hotel guest. God knows how they would treat someone not staying at the resort. The overall service I got at the resort during my stay was great.
