🌺 A Truly Memorable Stay at Taj Holiday Village Resort, Goa

We checked in to Taj Holiday Village Resort (THVR) yesterday, and from the very first moment, it felt like we had entered a world of warmth, care, and unmatched hospitality. Almost every aspect of our stay — the service, activities, food, and interactions — went beyond expectations and made our visit truly memorable.

The check-in process was quick and smooth, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. Raveena (or Ravena), who handled our arrival formalities, was exceptionally kind, patient, and professional. She ensured everything was perfectly arranged and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What stood out most was the approachability and proactiveness of every staff member we met. Whether it was the buggy driver, restaurant staff, or the duty manager, everyone greeted us with a smile, engaged with our kids, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. It was heart-warming to see how quickly our children connected with almost everyone around — something that rarely happens anywhere else.

Our room was perfect in every sense — beautifully designed, spacious, and ideally located within the property. It seemed as though the room had been thoughtfully selected keeping our preferences in mind. Soon after check-in, 3–4 staff members from different departments came by one after another just to ask if we needed anything or if they could make our stay more pleasant. That kind of personal attention made us feel truly cared for.

Later in the evening, we went out to visit Fort Aguada, which is nearby. When we returned, the THVR team had arranged a beautiful surprise for us — an extremely delicious cake waiting in our room! It was such a thoughtful gesture. The kids were thrilled, immediately started celebrating, and we ended up having a little party right there in our room. It was one of those small but special moments that stay with you long after the trip ends.

The resort itself is stunningly beautiful — lush green lawns, well-maintained gardens, charming villas, and pathways that give it a distinct, tropical charm. It reminded us of the Savoy Hotel in Ooty, which is equally picturesque in its own way. While Savoy’s beauty is enhanced by its mountain weather and flora, THVR stands out for its vastness, landscaping, and thoughtful design. Every corner of the resort seems to reflect meticulous attention to detail.

The Goan speciality restaurant was our favorite. The ambience was vibrant, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Nisha, who took care of our table, deserves special mention for her warmth and attentiveness. She made sure every request, especially from the kids, was fulfilled promptly and with a smile.

The beach access is another major highlight of THVR — it’s literally just a few seconds away. Our daily routine quickly became our favorite part of the trip: spending an hour or two at the beach, rinsing off at the designated area inside the resort, jumping into the swimming pool for another hour or two, and then heading for dinner. It felt so seamless and relaxing — the kind of rhythm that makes a holiday truly rejuvenating.

The in-room dining and housekeeping services were exceptionally fast and efficient. Every request — whether for food, towels, or amenities — was handled promptly, usually within minutes. The staff consistently displayed warmth, efficiency, and genuine care. The next day, we rented a car from the resort for a four-hour trip, and again, the experience was excellent. The driver was courteous, punctual, and professional, and the price was lower than local taxis, which are often unreliable in Goa. It was refreshing to see such value and service consistency even in transport arrangements. Thank you, THVR team, for making our stay so special — from the welcome smile to 3 days stay, every moment was filled with warmth and care. We will leave with beautiful memories and the firm intention to...

Stayed at Taj from 16-18th July. This was the most horrible stay that I had with any of the Taj properties or any of the 5-stars that I’d stayed. The property badly needs renovations as it has started looking very dull and dingy. The check-in was very slow and the room given to us was very dull. We were travelling with my teenager kids and despite repeated requests on booking and while checking, we were allotted afar rooms and not adjoining. At the time of booking, they told us they had no adjoining rooms. But when I pointed out after reaching the property that you do have them, they said now it’s sold out. The worst part was that 17th morning, around 6.00am, the bed in the kid’s room broke down and my daughter injured her back. For almost 3hours, from 6am-9am, I kept calling for help, dialling at the reception, even demanding to speak to the manager, no one came to our aid. Even the cart fellows that were crossing the room, when asked for help, they didn’t even stop to ask what was the problem and why was I calling them. After too much of hue and cry, and a lot of shouting from my part, They finally shifted our room and gave us an upgrade to a cottage. I requested that this room is further too far from my Kids room, but they had no option because they were no rooms available nearby. So we took the room, but the telephone services were not working in the room. Now the same juggle starts again. Since the phones are not working, I can’t call the reception, so I’m trying to call from my mobile to the reception and every time it is being diverted to some other number, and nobody is ready to listen to my problem. I stand outside the room, shouting at every buggy Walla crossing by, but they don’t bother to stop. So I walk up to the reception. Very desperately crying for help, and they acknowledge my problem. Since the vacation was a birthday gift to my son. They arranged for a birthday celebration for him. We were a little alighted that finally something good is happening on our vacation now, but the next day when we try checking out, the guy at the checkout counter. Inform us that we have to pay an additional cost for the upgraded room Because we had accepted the room, though we were not informed that there’s gonna be an additional charge, and we thought that this is because the Hotel was apologetic on their behalf. I was supposed to leave for the airport and the entire process the bargaining deal or the argument deal. Whatever you call. It took me two hours to the reception. I had to literally rush to the airport because I was very delayed. I tried complaining at multiple platforms, but nobody is ready to hear to what I am saying. This is the worst Taj experience anybody could ever have, and I was very disappointed. My kids have asked me not to ever take them back to any Taj property. During my entire stay, I kept demanding to speak to the regional manager or any concerned authority at the property, but nobody bothered to get in touch with us or at least give us some comfort because of the trouble...

The staff was very polite. A mini A/C bus arrives to pick up from the airport and to drop us to the airport.warm welcome at the reception. Rooms were comfortable ,cozy and clean. They had a store named "Taj Khazana" , there were unique stuff, must visit if you go there. For food, there were two restaurants in the hotel itself. One Thai restaurant and one beach house. The service was very good, there were complimentary games for children and steaming for others, there were many other activities too,but they were chargeable. Food was average I can say, few dishes were very very good and some were just okay ,but the variety of food was great, especially breakfast. As I was having meals included with the rooms , there was a buffet . It was amazing ,but in between , in order to not waste food as there weren't much people in the hotel that time, they didn't make the buffet and gave us a separate menu instead. I don't hate that idea. The environment was lovely , the way to the beach was easy and the view was terrific .There was bar in the pool , so that was pretty cool.whenever there's an occasion , they make special arrangements like I was there for mother's day,so they gave mother's tiaras and everything was pink, they made the deserts pink, seats were pink and so on. Overall, I would recommend one to visit this place. Pro tip: go to the beach around 5:45 AM if you're a dog lover, a lot of dogs play there and some Labradors come to walk, you'll have a great time. Thank you for reading, hit a like if I was of any help.

This is the worst Taj experience anybody could ever have, and I was very disappointed. My kids have asked me not to ever take them back to any Taj property. During my entire stay, I kept demanding to speak to the regional manager or any concerned authority at the property, but nobody bothered to get in touch with us or at least give us some comfort because of the trouble caused to us.
