Had a wonderful experience overall at the shack. Read the review to understand my experience.
The parking is a little further (200-300 metres) from the shack which we were hoping against because we had an 86 year old grandmother in a wheelchair whom we wished to come along. I got off the car and was examining the route to the shack which was full of sand and was wondering how to get the wheelchair through it until I met Gary who waits and serves there. Very humble, honest and helpful guy who was apologetic of how circumstances were against our favor and when I chose to leave.
On my way back to the car I decided to come back only because of Gary who I felt was extremely cooperative. I went back and asked him if it were possible for him and staff to help me carry the wheelchair along with our grandmother to which he instantly agreed. We carried them entirely for 300 metres and through the sand to the shack. It would have been possible without him.
I noticed the shack is a little further from the main Colva beach and is very peaceful and mesmerizing. Menu is vast and while I placed the order, had food and left, Gary was a gem who would help with everything and be cooperative. Food was too good and juices were excellent. Prices are competitive and cheaper than most shacks. The manager (whom I don't remember the name but speaks Marathi) was also very kind. After we were done, Gary helped us carry grandma and wheelchair back on the road and refused to take tip.
We have to understand that food and seating/ambience are huge aspects but staff and hospitality goes a long way with the experience and emotions. I have decided to come to this shack at least once every visit to Goa even if I...
Read moreOne of the Best Beach shack experience in South Goa at Silver Spoon Shack near colva beach (exactly on Salcete beach). I visited South goa last month with my family friends for sightseeing and relaxation purpose. On the first day, my friends forced me to have a lunch at Silver spoon shack, I refused it as my earlier experience at Beach Shack was not good enough because of poor food quality at too much extra cost. Forcefully we agreed to have it, But believe me, I was surprised to have such a tasty food there at reasonable prices. The fish dishes were fresh and mouthwatering. During our entire trip, we did our most of the launches and dinners there. Thanks to Mr. Pravin who's manager at Silver Spoon, who personally take care of quality and quantity of food. He served us many new and tasty veg and non veg dishes. All the dishes we tried were too good and tasty. I recommend everyone to try food @Silver Spoon Shack when you will next time visit to colva beach. The Salcete beach is walkable from colva beach, less crowded (sometimes feel like a private beach) and has its own natural beauty. The sunset at Salcete is one of the popular attraction here. We stayed at The Golden crown resort during our trip. Its a must visit place...
Read moreI was on Colva beach and found this beautiful shack. There were a lot of Russians enjoying here and we picked up our spot. Since, it was a little cold during that night a person named 'Garry' came to us with a stole and made us comfortable. We were extremely pleased with the courtesy and service levels.
We found out the menu was both in English and Russian and upon inquiring, Garry conveyed us that most of the shack present there have different Menu cards for Indians and Russians with different pricing whereas they do not follow such practices.
We ordered King Prawns, King Fish and local Goan Drinks. Surprisingly, the food was too good and I must say that I have not had such a delicacy ever before.
Overall, Its a great place to chill and relax in South Goa. I would definitely recommend this to anyone...
