Had their food many a times but every time through Swiggy or Zomato delivered at home. Never had the opportunity to visit the restaurant until today when I walked into their Mapusa outlet at noon for a lunch for myself and also had plans to get some food packed for my family as well. Being a Food & Travel Vlogger, I never ever miss the opportunity to capture some culinary moments with my camera, whenever I visit a restaurant or a food joint - not only helps my viewers with information but helps the restaurant also gain popularity for FREE. Yes, neither I ask for money, nor free food against the food vlogs that I do and the existing vlogs on my Channel are a testimony to this as I pay the full bills wherever and whenever I've been to an eatery for eating and vlogging. At Soul Curry today, when I introduced myself to the Manager and told him that I would like to do a video of the food that I will be eating, he failed to understand what I am trying to convey. I handed him over a visiting card of mine and instantly, he with some other fellows scanned the QR Code on my Visiting Card to see my Channel and Content, what I do, and thereafter told me the owner is not answering the call, hence we cannot allow you to shoot. What an irony - probably the buggers at Soul Curry thought I would be asking for money or free food or both afterwards. What a pity - in spite of me telling them that I pay and eat everywhere, the buggers thought I am a bluffer. I PAY I EAT & I PROMOTE A RESTAURANT OR AN EATERY FOR FREE - I TRY TO HELP LOCAL BUSINESSES TO GROW BY PROMOTING THEM THROUGH MY CHANNEL...

Ambience: Very good, Service: Poor Quality of food: 3/5 Toilet: Appeared clean, but the men's urinal was stinking to high-heaven.
Fish thali contained a full medium sized Pomfret that looked and tasted like it was deep-fried and over-fried (tasted crispy-burnt). The fish curry (Mackrel) was cooked Goan style (spicy with green chillis and Triphala).
The shell fish felt like recycled shells with seasoned coconut and masala. Kismuri was just about okay-ish. There was Ambot-tik, a small glass of sol kaddi (without coconut milk), Lady fingers (not good quality) and Cabbage vegetable. Vermicili sweet dish.
The veg thali had same vegetable along with dhal and 'rava' fried potatoes locally called "ka-ppe". The veg thali contained no pickle. Each thali also contained one small chapati and a tiny (2.5-inch) papad.
The fish thali is Rs 300/- and Veg thali is Rs 250/-. My friend who had the prawn biryani said it was "it was nice and done Goan style - more like a pulao and had Tiger prawns in it".
A bottle of mineral water costs more than a bottle of soft drink. Waiter was not...
Read moreDay 1 - called the number listed on Google and the numbers listed on instagram 6-7 times. No response. Reached there directly and was told that they're not answering the calls because of covid 🤣🤣🤣 are you guys serious?? Been here multiple times before during previous stays so dint mind that lame sentence. Day2- this was the last day in Goa for us so thought we'll try our luck one last time. Got the table. Reached in time. Apparently it was ten minutes late for us to order fish thali it seems so they denied to take a request even after explaining the situation. Ask for an Goan dish, the answer was though it is in our menu we currently don't have it. Service, food and everything else is just PATHETIC. I don't know if the management has changed, would not recommend this place. Was so humiliated bringing in my friends along and speaking so proudly of it.
Responding to your review- The date was 4th August and it was around 2PM. Not just fish thali, bebinca was also not available in your restaurant. And NO, I have not rated n reviews your restaurant incorrectly. Try sending your e-mail address, I'll send the call recordings of unasnwered calls. Instead of lying n covering up for pathetic services why not genuinely work on hospitality? That's much easier...
