I have been here a few times during my past visit . I thought of stopping by for a meal today.
The moment i walked into the premises i was greeted by the owner and was asked if i have a reservation. I asked reservation for what and was told its a quiz night and i cant enter the restaurant indoor area if i dont have a reservation and that i can sit outside on the sopo ( goan outside sitting) since its a quiz night. Since i was theere for a meal I agreed to sit outside on the uncomfortable cemented sopo. I asked for the menu and ordered Bangers and mash which i have had here before along with a beer. I got the beer and waited 45-50 minutes to receive the food I ordered while i was sat outside and not allowed in. About 30 minutes post my order I decided to check with the waiter who was hard to get hold off , if they had placed my order since its been a while. He asked who did i order with and i told him I ordered with the owner. He checked and got back saying my order will be ready in 2-3 minutes. I waited another 10 minutes and walked to the kitchen to ask for my order. I was told by Tim himself that its gonna be another few minutes and that they having a full house. Well , i am happy to know you have a full house.. but is keeping me waiting for 50 minutes to receive a portion of bangers and mash , which was in the end served with a meager portion of mash and some half hearted cooked watery gravy fair. They kept saying they are busy today..If so , why would you seat more guest that you cant even cater to and keep saying 2-3 minutes when you canât deliver or keep upto your standards. I even over heard the table nextne complain about their order not being delivered yet and it had been 45 minutes.
I have eaten here before and i know the portion and quality of the bangers and mash i have had before. You being busy is not an excuse to serve poorly and to make your guests wait 50 minutes for a meal. When the food was served there was no cutlery on the table. And on asking it took another 5 minutes to get a fork and a knife. The mash was served like there was a famine and scarcity of potatoes. Mind you i am a poor eater and cant even normally eat one portion of a meal by myself. And This is coming from me. If you are full up and cant cater to more people , all you could do is say you cant cater to any more food orders just like you refused me entry into the indoor sitting. In the end you are not even ashamed to charge service charge. Well seevice chage is something you charge if you have offered a satisfactory service. Its not the money thatâs concerning..Its your lack of ethics and rather being shameless. Very poorly of you .I am sorry but i am forced to write...
