Unfortunate dissapointment - Not fit for anyone will allergies.

My mother and I fancied some Asian food and came across Yazu Goa on Google, which looked like a hopeful option.

Given that my mother has some fairly rigid dietary requirements, with severe gluten and lactose allergy, alongside being a vegan, it was imperative to make sure that the resturant had gluten free and vegan options before driving over.

When we called in, we were assured that our 35 minute journey wouldn't be wasted and were told that there were plenty of options for us.

When we arrived, we were seated at the beachfront, which was nice, but were given the ultimatum of having to use an app to flick through the menu. Given that we avoid phones at dinners, this forceful use of an app, despite asking for paper menus twice, made the entire night incredibly antisocial, where instead of flicking through menus together, we were just looking face down at our screen.

When the waiter came to take our order and we asked about the gluten free and vegan options; she was quite clear that the kitchen can work around our dietary requirements on request, although we were somewhat misinformed given that, contorary to what we were told on our phone call, there was no gluten free soya sauce available, or ever even stocked at Yazu.

With this, we asked to speak to the chef, to make sure that the food prepared would be done to proper allergen standards. With the chef having spoke to us, we ordered what initially seemed to be an entirely vegan and gluten free selection: Salted Edamame, Mexican Roll (Requested Gluten Free and Vegan) Tonic Water and Orange Fusion Mocktail.

As the food was being made, my mother browsed through the mocktail specials which were printed out, to which she was suprised to see that the Orange Fusion had honey in it, an ingredient that was not listed on the app - when the drink arrived, we enquired about this, to which we were informed there was no honey. I did not believe the waitress the first time, so asked her to double check, to which she then came back and confirmed... there was honey in the drink - this then had to be remade.

We were then served the Salted Edamame, which was delicious, followed by the Mexican Rolls.

Before eating the Mexican Rolls, my mum spotted what looked like mayonnaise on top of the sushi - despite the conversation with the chef, I pulled up a waitress and asked if the mayo was vegan and gluten free, to whcih she said yes. Once again, I asked for her to double check, to which she came back and said they are vegan and gluten free. I then asked her what the mayonnaise sauce was made out of, to which she came back, apologised and said that it was made out of dairy.

Had my mum eaten that, she would have been hospitalised and Yazu would have been responsible for her ill health - luckily I was completely inquisitive on how the mayo was made, to which we found out, Yazu completely ignored Mums allergic requirements.

The Mexican Rolls were taken back, and once again, remade - we finished up the meal, refused to pay for anything that was made incorrectly and left.

We will never be going back again, and advise anyone with allergens, of any sort, to tread...

A top service restaurant with 5 stars for presentation and taste, part of the hotel complex but allows stragglers from the beach. There is music for your entertainment in the day time whist endulging in the succulent cocktails and dinning to the exclusive foods on offer. We was privaligde to encounter the fish festival special menu which was out of this world. Apparently happens each year. Excellent staff warm and friendly and the toilets and showers are there for you to wash that sand off if you have wandered from the beach. We missed the night time enterteinment however I am led to believe there are shows on. We enjoyed watching the sun near to sunset and. Enjoyed every minute. Yes you pay for quality yes you pay for facilities but why wouldn't you pay that small extra amount to have 5 star facilities, 5 star food and 5 star drinks presented by a bartender who can shake the cocktails as they should be done. Had a nice feel to the music and it wasn't to loud... Close by is the palms and sands food restaurant and droplet nightclub and also the Taj hotels all offering 5 star luxury away from the main road and better beach shack facilities.. if you have the cash then don't hesitate to venture to this end of the beach and wine dine and feel you are in heaven. Can't wait to return again and again. Thankyou. The venue offers a hotel complex which looks superb and the swimming pool is amazing and a very short walk on the sand to the sea. Over looking the sea it's one of the better locations in this area.... A must stop off to try, don't be shy just walk up the carpeted enterence of the beach and ask the security that you want to have some drinks or food. They will accomodate... Enjoy as...

You know when you go to a new city to travel you tend you make mistakes while choosing a restaurant to eat at. With Yazu, I did the exact opposite.

I think this was probably the best meal I had in Goa and I have zero complaints whatsoever.

Their location to begin with is so good that you'll immediately fall in love with it. The restaurant is located on Sinquerim Beach and has the most Stunning view of the beach. You'll enjoy delicious food and drinks while looking at the waves and the people.

We started our meal with two drinks, Guava Peri peri cocktail and Thai Mojito which were super good. Guava stood out for me, with its tanginess and a hint of spice, it really did tantalize on my tastebuds.

The food we had was a Yazu Style Futomaki Sushi which was crispy on the outside and oozing goodness on the inside. I think I definitely ate the most pieces. I loved it so so much. Highly recommended.

Next we had chicken cilantro dumplings which were nice. Nothing exceptional about these but surely had a nice, subtle taste.

The next thing we had was Green Thai Curry, Chicken Kra Pow and Jasmine Rice. Thai curry was heavenly. Totally authentic Asian flavours and textures. Super luscious and went well with the aromatic jasmine rice.

Chicken Kra Pow was extremely flavourful, filled with spices and taste. Loved it so so much.

With this we ended our meal. The entire experience was amazing. Service was excellent. Staff was polite and honestly I had the best time everrr. I mean if you'd ask me, I'll definitely go back 5 more times to grab a bite of that sushi and...
