Wonderful new place opened up at Sindhu Bhavan Road and it is brilliant. It is authentic to the core, each item reminds you of a time spent in North Indian.
Maharaja Lassi - 750 ml of sheer bliss this was a delight to drink, a hardcore sweet Punjabi Lassi which can be shared among 3-4 individuals.
Assorted Tandoor Platter - A mix of all tandoori items - Paneer, Gobi, Mushroom, Broccoli, Baby Corn, Pineapple & Kebabs all made on order. Malai Broccoli and the Pineapple slices were my favourites from the lot, must order item for sure.
Amritsar Haveli Special Kulcha - This is served with Cholle which was just so flavourful and a delight to have, trust me one of the most delicious Cholle in town. Go have it to believe!
Dal Makhni - Served in a Bucket with fresh butter on top and cooked on low flame is a complete delight. The Chefs are specialized in North Indian cooking they have experience from top Delhi based Restaurants so the taste is not compromised at all.
Pro Tip - Order their Dal Makhni which is not too pricey and the portion size is quite large, it tastes very creamy and is rich in texture. You can pair it up with Garlic Naan or Rice both mouth wateringly good combinations. This has to be the BEST DAL MAKHNI in town as of now. Period.
An ideal place for Family Gatherings, Ladies Kitty Parties and/or Corporate Lunch as the Menu is very ellaborate you have so many varieties under every option.
The ambiance is quite simple but very elegant, for interiors they have painted the walls a calming off white shade and paired it with colourful furniture in yellow and blue theme. There are well lit Chandeliers hanging off the ceiling that add to the vibe indoors. All the staff members are very sweet...

Food Quality and Value for Money: The food was not worth the price. Despite high expectations, the dishes lacked flavor and freshness, making them feel overpriced.
Every single one of my teammates left food on their plates—a clear indication that it didn’t meet anyone’s standards. It's rare for us to waste food, but the experience here made it unavoidable.
Service: The service was subpar. The staff appeared disorganized and inattentive. We had to repeatedly ask for basic items, and even simple requests took far too long to be addressed.
Offers and Discounts: One major disappointment was the restaurant’s refusal to honor active promotions from popular online portals. Even though they were clearly advertised and applicable, the staff seemed either unaware or unwilling to accept them.
This not only felt misleading but also frustrating, as we were expecting to benefit from the advertised discounts but were met with resistance.
Delay in Food Arrival: The food took way too long to arrive, and when it finally did, it wasn't served all at once. Some dishes arrived significantly later than others, which disrupted the overall dining experience.
We were left waiting for long stretches without any updates from the staff, which added to the feeling of neglect.
Overall Experience: Sadly, the overall experience was underwhelming and disappointing. The combination of poor food, lackluster service, and failure to honor offers made for a regrettable visit.
I won't be returning in the future nor recommending it to anyone looking for a satisfying...
Read moreReview Abysmal Experience at Amritsar Haveli, Prahladnagar
I'm compelled to write a scathing review about Amritsar Haveli in Prahladnagar, which has left a sour taste in my mouth.
Food:
The Manchurian dish was an affront to culinary standards, made with tomato ketchup, which is unacceptable. Jain and non-Jain kulchas were served together, and to make matters worse, both were regular, showing a complete disregard for dietary restrictions. The parathas were made with maida, while the kulchas were made with wheat, which is inconsistent. The vegetables served were unidentifiable, and the waiters were clueless about the names of the dishes they were serving.
Service:
The waiters were uninformed, untrained, and unapologetic, making the experience even more frustrating. The air conditioning was not working properly, and the staff would only turn it on when customers entered the restaurant, making the dining area feel like a sauna. The entire restaurant reeked of a pungent smell, which was unbearable.
Overall:
Amritsar Haveli has failed miserably in providing a decent dining experience. The use of tomato ketchup in Manchurian is a culinary sin, and the lack of knowledge among the waiters is appalling. The restaurant's ambiance is uncomfortable, and the smell is overwhelming.
Rating: -150/100 (if negative marking were possible)
Recommendation: Avoid Amritsar Haveli at all costs. The restaurant needs a complete overhaul of its staff, menu, and ambiance before it can be considered a viable dining option. Until then, it remains a disaster...
