An ideal stay in hospital for treatment is characterised by an efficient medical care cushioned by an expert mental as well as emotional care for the patient and the ones accompanying her. A perfect combination of the two above, while desirable, is rarely achieved. Sterling Cancer Hospital is one of those rare institutions which provide medical care with a laser precision while taking care that the same happens with the patient being in utmost comfort. My Mother, Kavita, was hospitalized in Sterling Cancer Hospital, Ahmedabad. I accompanied her during her four day stay. While we had expected a top notch service considering Sterling’s brand in the Gujarat Hospital industry, we were pleasantly surprised to have our expectations greatly exceeded by the phenomenal service provided by the hospital. The staff being calm and courteous, made sure our stay was smooth. The biggest assets of a hospital are its doctors and the huge intellectual capital possessed by them. In this regard, I would like to acknowledge one of the biggest names in onco surgery , Dr. Somesh Chandra. Having amassed an experience of more than 25 years, he is one of the most learned doctors in the field of onco surgery. Along with that, he is highly down to earth and approachable. He along with his team performed surgery on my mother. He explained the entire procedure to us like a laymen, and very patiently answered all our questions in a detailed manner. His appearance resembles that of Santa Clause, albeit the one who gives other a gift of life. Just a small request to sir, please speak a bit louder so others can understand in a single instance. But as they say, those who speak the softest have the deepest knowledge. :D The nursing staff was well trained and proficient in fulfilling their tasks. My warm regards to Rinku sister, Sonal sister, Dhanuka sister, and Zarna sister and Medical officer Dr Pandya for tending to my mother post surgery. Post operative care is extremely essential for speedy recovery and that is where the role of nursing staff comes into picture.The nursing staff along with all the attendents make sure that patient is taken care of well.Infact they are so efficient and caring that there is hardly any need for the patients' relative to be present all the time. The hospital also has a great infrastructure to boast of. For instance, it has its own mini library called “Same page” that has a great collection of books. All the rooms and corridors of the hospital are studded with motivational quotes which add to the positive vibes of the place. The food was nutritious and tasty, and in line with the needs of the patient. I would totally recommend Sterling Cancer hospitals...

Extremely Disappointed and Deeply Hurt – Not Recommended at All

I lost my father under the care of Dr. Nitin Singhal, and the experience was devastating. I strongly discourage anyone from trusting him for cancer surgery or any critical care.

From the start, Dr. Singhal seemed more focused on marketing himself than genuinely caring for patients. His social media presence is filled with self-promotional content, which gives a misleading impression of his actual involvement and skill.

• He never properly explained the complexity of my father’s condition or the serious risks involved in the surgery. • He failed to inform us about the compromised lung capacity, which should have been a major consideration. • We were never told which organs would be removed or what the full impact of the surgery would be. • He only appeared on the day of surgery, performed the operation, and then disappeared. • Post-surgery care was almost non-existent—he pushed us to use his homecare service, which felt more like a business move than a medical recommendation.

Dr. Singhal came across as arrogant and dismissive, often acting like we should simply follow orders without question. He never provided emotional support or clarity, and his attitude was more of a “this is how we do it—take it or leave it” than that of a compassionate doctor.

We spent over 15 lakh rupees, and in return, we lost not just money, but the most important person in our lives.

I truly hope no other family goes through what we did. Please think twice before considering him...

Sterling Cancer Hospital is fortunate to have such dedicated and compassionate professionals on their team, enhancing the overall positive impact of their services.

Canteen food is marvelous and clean.

Just one suggestion, I feel the hospital needs to recruit more medical staffs as at times services get delayed. But happy to see the nurses were on their toes at times doing 2 shifts together. Great work 👏👏👏
