Gopi Restaurant, Prahlad Nagar 😊

The Gujarati thali served by #gopirestaurant Prahladnagar outlet (42 years old serving Gujarati thali restaurant of Ahmedabad city) on my birthday bash with a side of salty buttermilk and a welcome drink as hot Kadha. The mentionworthy green and red chutneys with a farsan like dhokla and green peas ghughra also brought a wonderful zing to the whole thali. Desserts such as moong dal halwa and basundi were light and satiating without being overly sweet. Contrary to popular belief, not every Gujarati dish was dripping with sweetness. Also variant types of mix veg bhajiya's were just marvelous. Love eating and enjoyed them with mild rain. The entire thali was a delightful mix of sweet, salty and in fact, a little bit of spice too!

Gopi is Ahmedabad's oldest diner. Located in the heart of Ahmedabad , Gopi gives you an unforgettable Gujarati Thali experience. The food is absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. The food has no colouring, essences or added preservatives. Everything is cooked fresh every day so there is no question of serving frozen stuff. Food is prepared in batches for 100 pax so what you eat is absolutely fresh and flavourful. A great dining experience awaits you. Sandwich style dhoklas with chutneys, kachoris- crisp and hot. Phulkas and puris with a variety of vegetables. The dal and khadi is outstanding. Puran poli subtle and soft. The dinner menu had 9 different varieties of Khichidi and it's served with khadi.
