I would just like to share my experience and tell you all that this has got to be one of the worst dining experience of my life.
I would like to elaborate the ordeal which my friends and I went through.
This restaurant Mirch MasalaCG Road Ahmedabad had specifically mentioned of an unlimited non-vegetarian chicken Thali. So we ordered with great hopes of having a good unlimited meal. we called for one unlimited chicken Thalis along with some alacarte dishes. To our astonishment it was a limited meal wherein only the lime juice was unlimited with ZERO helpings of any other dishes sun the thali When we were aware of the same we enquired it with the manager, he rudely told us that this is what we serve and even you cannot share or taste on a byte of it with anyone nor u can take a parcel if the food is over portion. He directly meant and said either you can leave the left over food for their staff or waste it. We asked why are you misleading and cheating us to which he said this is the company policy and restaurant policy The staff were I’ll mannered and lacked would just like to tell you that for me this was a very very insulting feeling and one of the worst experiences of my life I have been to some best and expensive restaurants and well as budget restaurants in Mumbai as well as to other states and cities, it was customer service etiquette they were rude and behaving as if they we were dining for free and and they were doing us a favour by serving us. it was completely disgusting experience I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone in fact I was supposed to recommend my friends who travel around to visit this place but now I will ask them to go to some other restaurant rather than coming here and getting insulted and cheated I have given one star because zero star is not...
Read moreWith the kind of ambiance it offers and the history associated with this place, I would have loved to give it a 5-star. But then there were more than 1 issue that came up during my elborate lunch visit there.
Good things first, quite a range of non-vegeterian choices in Ahemedabad, which is rare to find. The ambiance is unique with Bollywood theme. The service speed is decent when it is not crowded.
Now to the things they need to improve. The waiters, they are stuck in the 90s. They won't suggest you much if you ask, they won't talk much, they won't smile. May be they are told not to. Secondly, the food taste. It was on the oily side. The Kaali Dal was too spicy, the Chicken dish had not-so-fresh chicken and the paneer was decent. Only the Jalebis I had were worthy of the price.
Finally, it is a pricey place. The average non-veg dish starts close to Rs. 400 and the overall experience won't make it worthy to visit again.
I am better off with least known places in...

Mirch Masala truly lives up to its name when it comes to serving flavorful non-vegetarian dishes. I would easily place it in my top 5 list for non-veg spots in Ahmedabad.
The Dum Biryani is absolutely worth trying – rich in aroma, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor. The Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken were also standout dishes, cooked just right with a nice balance of spices and creaminess. Even the other gravy dishes were consistently good across the menu.
What adds to the whole experience is the restaurant’s nostalgic Bollywood theme old film posters, quirky dialogues on the walls, and a vintage collection that takes you back in time. It’s not just about food here, it’s about the vibe too.
Portions are decent, taste is on point, and the overall experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it to anyone craving well-made Indian non-veg fare with a touch of...
