New Alka Restaurant — Restaurant in Gujarat

We had finished the evening show of a movie and were on the lookout of a good restaurant for dinner. Just as we were walking by the streets, we remembered about this restaurant and knowing about it having plenty of options, decided to dine in there.

To our utmost surprise, they said that only parcel would be done, even though it was just 10:30 pm. Also, when we took 5 minutes to decide what to order, we were told to order fast or else it won’t be possible to prepare the food. We finally ordered Veg. Sabji, Roti and Biryani.

When we reach home and opened the food, we were surprised! The sabji had only huge paneer pieces and a watery gravy with no taste. In fact, it was just Paneer, water, half cooked pieces of onion and capsicum. It was as if the left overs were put and served to us.

Also, the biryani was only pulav. And it had 20-30 pieces of garlic in it. And all raw. This amount of garlic is used in a meal for a month, I guess. We were blatantly cheated with the food that we were served.

If you don’t have ingredients and things required to prepare food, you should openly state the same. Charging and giving such horrible food isn’t how you do business.

Also, we didn’t feel good after eating health-wise. And obviously so. All in all, it was a horrible experience. We would...

Worst place to visit ever .. We went there at 10:40 pm no staff or owner itself told us that it is closing time and they let us sit. While ordering also they didn't informed us that kindly give the final order after 10 minutes there another staff member comes and asks us to order our final order we ordered dal fry-jeera rice and the next minute I added one more sabji for ordering they told us that it cannot be made as the kitchen is closed and our dal fry-jeera rice were also not served yet....and instead of jeera rice they served us plain rice saying that staff has gone home...my whole family was hungry is this the way to treat to their customers ..after complaining there staff started abusing us ...I suggest each and every single one never visit NEW ALKA RESTAURANT OF...

I used to have mysore masala dosa here since many years and i liked it here only the most. But now they have increased the price of dosa as well.. 2 years earlier it was around 120 and now its 150. After two bowls of sambhar they are charging extra for every bowl of sambhar, nowhere is such price in vadodara. Owner was too rude in speaking, justifying k mumbai aur bangalore has such policies. Comparing standard of living of bangalore with Baroda. I just dont appreciate. Breaking old customers, as if the restaurant is targeting only the premium customers and ignoring middle class people. I generally bring 4 office guys with me here for the dosa itself, now I guess I wouldnt be...
