“I need a restaurant that is really romantic,” said a man who was seeking an appropriate setting either to propose or to celebrate a soul connecting date. Such instances always puts you in a confusing state of mind as there are very less options available for places with romantic appeal.

When I think of getting Privacy, Comfort, Great Food and Services - all at one restaurant, the only place that comes to my mind is “Soul Mate”. And the best part they have done to keep the romance alive is that they allow only couples. Yes, it’s twin-dine restaurant. The sitting arrangements is designed in such a way that only couples can sit and there is no option available for joining tables.

They have kept their menu simple covering right from welcome drink to desserts so that the couple do not get confused and lost in the wide menu but at the same time they have the liberty to select their dish from the menu for each course.

Soul Mate offers 3 different packages to choose from having a tag of Rs 1600, Rs 2600 and Rs 5000. The first package offers a 7-course meal and the second package offers 9 course meals with fruit Champagne, fruit cake with romantic décor with balloons and rose petals whereas the third package in addition to second package offers exclusive personalize décor with imported roses and chocolate bookey.

Their Licthi badam ki subzi & Pineapple Curry – thai rice were luscious. Other dishes —fragrant basil, chedaar tomato soup, hummus platter, Galouti Kebab with varqi paratha, Phad thai veg noodles & Banoffee Pie— showcased their fresh ingredients and careful preparation, just what you expect.

On service part, don’t assume that they are slow… in fact, they are determined for not disturbing the couples lost in each other… so they will not bring another dish unless you ask for.. They just want you to have quality time with your loved one.

A specially designed restaurant for couples and celebrating various occasions. Located on University Road, the place is easy to locate. Getting a parking spot here can be a problem at times. The ambience is designed to suit couple dining. The decorations and lightning support the said theme very well. The staff is well trained and help you out with your decor requirements. The menu though restricted, is designed to offer either a 7 course or a nine course meal. We opted for the nine course meal. We were offered :

Tomato Basil Soup - Perfect and thick. The taste was just perfect. 4/5

Le Blue glacier - Pretty decent mocktail. This one had blue berries and was pretty thick and stuffing. 3/5

Smashed samosa chat - Served in a jar, this one tasted as good as it looked. 4/5

4 cheese pizza - This one was disappointing. The base was really chewy and the gravy pretty less. 2/5

Pink sauce pasta - Perfectly cooked. The gravy was in perfect quantity and taste. A must try here. 4/5

Hummus platter : The hummus tasted fresh and smooth. 4/5

Cranberry kofta curry - A must try here. Really good in taste. 5/5

Mexican Hopper Pepper rice - Tangy gravy tossed in perfectly cooked rice. 5/5

Mango cheese cake - This one was a delight to try. 5/5

Chocolate Melts with strawberry Ice cream - Melted chocolate topoed with strawberry ice cream. This one was really good and tasty. 5/5

It is a place for the one of those people who want to give surprise to her soulmate of a candle light dinner with a bit special decoration without spending much time for the 1st time.

Of course you need to spend bit more bucks to save your time. But it is a good place for single time surprise element.

Ambiance was quite silent and romantic. Food was good. They have fix number of dishes based on the package you select with variety of Indian as well as other cousins which you may not able to complete unless you are a foody guy. Service was average. I don't much appreciate their services. Although it may depend on the person who serves you.
