First of all, the notion of a Hotel having a fine dining restaurant has been declined here. This place, more than anything, is such a nice spot to have a lovely meal out of blue and just enjoy the food, in no way it is extremely sophisticated. The casual vibe is something I absolutely enjoyed. They had a great open ambiance with good quality food. Appetizers- We had Thai corn cake and Dahi kebabs, they are exactly the name suggests. The Dahi kebab were genuinely exceptional and the corn cakes too were amazing. Soups- Mushroom and Tomato. Both the soups were warm and welcoming, especially the mushroom soup. Thai Green curry with Jasmine rice- Extremely scrumptious and delicious. I would say the best Thai curry one had , genuinely really good. American Chopsuey- A good example of how Chopsuey should be. Such a nice dish, sweet and tangy, with the addition of awesome pineapple. Mushroom Risotto with Truffle oil- Really earthy tones with smooth and creamy rice, mostly the best dish. Pesto Pasta- Good creamy pesto pasta with great texture and freshness. Indian thali- Amazingly curated sabzis and a gorgeous Dal Makhani. Beverages- Lemon ice tea and non alcoholic beer. I've always craved a good iced tea, and few places provide unsweetened option. I genuinely can not elaborate on the dishes we had because they are exactly what their name suggests. Almost a perfect rendition of what the dishes are many to be. Simply brilliant

Visited the place for a Saturday buffet lunch. The ambience was quirky and shades of green made the place pretty bright and soft. The buffet spread was huge and had plenty of options across cuisines including chaats, Indian, oriental and gujarati. While the soup and starters were pretty decent, the oriental spread was really great. Loved the falafel kebab, lasagne and hakka noodles. The Indian course was decent too. The gujarati cuisine in terms of khichdi and kadhi was not upto the mark and felt both of it lacking basic spices. The dessert spread had variety of options from western as well as Indian desserts, both if it really good in taste. While the food was good enough in taste the sad part of the meal was service which was really slow and a bit unmanaged, which did not justify the price of the meal. A number of requests were addressed only after couple of reminders. While they had a live counter for chaat, there was no one available to prepare it and it was on self service. The dishes were left unclear for a while and also got replenished after a few reminders. The buffet got a bit more mismanaged thanks to a couple of corporate events which led to huge rush during a particular time and unfortunately the serving staff was a bit unprepared to handle this. Would love to try out the place sometime later with better service and some good spread.

We were thoroughly disappointed with our experience at Square Restaurant in Novotel. It was evident that we were treated poorly simply because we had booked through the Zomato app, which offered some discounts. The staff relentlessly pressured us to switch from the à la carte menu to the buffet, making us feel like second-class patrons. This treatment, coupled with the lackluster service, left us with a sour impression. It’s clear that customer service here is highly dependent on how you make your reservation, rather than the quality of your dining experience. *** below was the earlier review around six month back with 5 star rating *** I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant where Chefs worked their culinary magic. The sushi and Thai curry they prepared were nothing short of exceptional. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavours. The sushi was impeccably fresh, beautifully presented, and showcased. The delicate balance of textures and tastes was simply divine. As for the Thai curry, The depth of flavors, the perfect blend of spices, and the richness of the curry were beyond compare. It was a tantalizing journey for the taste buds. This dining experience was a true testament to the talent and dedication of the chefs. Their creations surpassed all expectations.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Square restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance that set the stage for a memorable culinary journey.

The Square restaurant offers a delightful combination of delectable cuisine, elegant decor, and attentive service. The menu boasts an impressive range of dishes that cater to various tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're craving traditional favorites, international flavors, or innovative culinary creations, The Square has something to satisfy every palate.

The quality of the food at The Square is exceptional. Each dish is prepared with utmost care and attention to detail, using the finest ingredients. The flavors are well-balanced, and the presentation is nothing short of exquisite. From the appetizers to the main courses and desserts, every dish reflects the culinary expertise of the talented chefs.

The ambiance of the restaurant is sophisticated yet welcoming. The tasteful decor, comfortable seating arrangements, and soft lighting create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or colleagues, The Square offers the perfect setting for a memorable meal and enjoyable conversations.

What truly sets The Square apart is the impeccable service provided by the staff. The waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that every need is met and every detail is taken care of. From recommending dishes to providing prompt and efficient service, the staff members go above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience.

I was particularly impressed by the attention given to cleanliness and hygiene. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the staff followed strict hygiene protocols, which is especially important in today's times. It was reassuring to see their commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all guests.

The Square restaurant also offers a great value for the dining experience it provides. The portion sizes are generous, and the pricing is reasonable considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. Whether it's a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a special celebration, The Square offers excellent value for the culinary journey it offers.

In conclusion, The Square restaurant is a hidden gem that exceeds expectations on every level. The outstanding cuisine, elegant ambiance, attentive service, and commitment to cleanliness make it a standout dining destination. I highly recommend The Square to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience that combines exceptional flavors, impeccable service, and a welcoming ambiance.

Prepare to indulge in a culinary journey that will leave you thoroughly satisfied and eager to return to The Square for more exceptional dining...

Complete waste of money. The restaurant doesn't even care to understand the kind of customers they are catering to, they just keep the menu as they wish. They are charging 1600/- per person for buffet but the quality of food and service is not worth the price. You can get a better service and food in a small dhaba.

They kept a clay pot and steel glasses for buttermilk same as the one's we use for water at home. After sometime they changed it and kept something in which the tap was not working but they didn't even care to change and serve the customers. Near to 3 PM one of their associates came to us and asked to take the desserts as they were closing the counters but to our surprise there was only 1 small piece of cake, we asked them to refill the desserts but of no use as they didn't care to refill it.

They didn't even fill the glass of water until and unless asked to do so. They didn't even care to change the used forks and knifes until I requested them to change it. As they have a live roti counter we asked them to serve garlic naan and butter naan, in which we had to search both for garlic and butter. I never knew Novotel was so caring about the customers health and not their request.

Washrooms were filthy, tissue papers where lying on the ground and the taps in the wash basin were not working, no one from the hotel cared to check if the washrooms were clean. I even informed a lady working at the frontdesk but she even didn't care to go check and get it cleaned.

I went for lunch with my friends today and had to face this kind of awful service with a 5 star brand like Novotel. I gave the same feedback to the restaurant manager Pankaj but he didn't even say sorry once or didn't even say we will take care of it next them. If a manager from hospitality industry behaves like this what can you expect from the remaining staff and they call themselves a 5 star brand.

When the bill arrived, as I was paying from Swiggy, I confirmed with Pankaj whether I have to include the 39 paise in the payment and he said yes. As Swiggy was not accepting the 39 paise, I kept 1 rupee and he shamelessly says that we do not accept cash.

Novotel needs to hire better managers and chef otherwise they will have to shutdown their...

We had gone there on a nice cool Tuesday evening and decided to sit on the porch outside Square as we had a kid with us and we didn't want to have dinner that day. We have been there earlier as well as every time we were satisfied with the experience but this time it was different. First they said they won't be serving anything other than tea/coffee in that area but we have been served other snacks in the past, I don't understand why it should be any different now. After requesting, they agreed to serve French fries and nachos (which could have been served very quickly). It took like forever to process the order. They still managed to serve the teas and nachos after a while, but the French fries didn't turn up even after almost an hour, when we finally asked them to get the check did they realize that the order was pending. The fries seemed like they were re-done. Hardly had they placed the plate on the table when the check arrived and the service staff just stood there with the check open and we had to assure him that we were just served and will definitely pay and leave. So much for 5 star and manners! The restaurant wasn't that busy for dinner but still the service was painfully slow and we could see other tables around us also facing the same treatment. They need to realize that the people sitting on the porch outside are ALSO guests and need to be treated like usual guests, we weren't sitting there for free. Special mention to Narayan, who probably forgot how to talk to guests, i believe he thought of us as "lesser-guests" since we were not INSIDE the restaurant. We definitely know how to take care of OUR child and see to it that he doesn't get hurt but Narayan couldn't stop repeating that we should see where our kid is going and had to be told to lower his voice while talking to a lady. The service and the staff marred our experience of the evening and somehow ensured that we make sure not to select this place if we are looking to spend some quality time with good...
