Tomato's The Diner — Restaurant in Gujarat

Worst Experience of our visit on Saturday 09 April 2016. Wrong person taking the waiting names, not informing the person jotting / maintaining the waiting list, waiting for our turn. No sign, check & find our name not in waiting list. The person jotting down the names quite accommodating and gives us the table. Soup & Starter ordered, came one after the other. But the main course was brought to be served as soon as we started the Starters. At the time of placing Order very distinctively informed the Order Taker to serve only after we finish the starters. It looked like they wanted to rush everything and shoo away customers. The Main course was returned back with instruction not to serve the same portion reheated or cold, but to serve freshly made one. After finishing the starter the same main course , returned , was brought to be served ? It looked like the management thought that they were doing favour on us by serving us. Checked and asked for the senior person / manager to whom we can talk. Turned out the same person who had bungled with the waiting list and who was watching all the show but not attending to resolve the issue. In other words not the right place to go for food when they do not understand the concept of CUSTOMER SERVICE. Customers have to take more precautions when you are paying such a high price and not accept / visit places where such services...

We had heard a lot about Tomato's from friends and were quite hyped about it. Getting there is easy, parking maybe a bit tough though.

We ordered a Mexican bowl, a Chicken San Diego, a sweet

fresh lime soda and a Thumbs up. We had been greeted

with a generous bowl of fresh popcorns already. The drinks arrived first, Fresh lime soda was fine and as expected. The Thumsup was a 300 ml can, which had MRP of 40 printed on it, but charged at $95.

Next the mexican bowl arrived. The food was tasty,

flavoursome and in enough quantity for the two of us. The

quantity was enough to make both of us satisfied, but not

overly full.

By the time we were done with the first dish, the Chicken San Diego arrived. Exquisitely plated and tasted amazing. The sauce was rich and rice was full of the typical Mexican flavours.

Since we were already quite full by now, we had to get

about half of the 2nd plate parcelled up to go. This place is highly recommended for people who want to try something other than the standard fare of Chinese, North Indian, Panjabi and Kathiyawadi around here. On the quantity front, my personal suggestion would be, begin with a starter, then 1 main course per two person. if you are still hungry and have space, then order for another

course. These guys feed you a lot. To end, other than the price gap of the canned Thumsup, all...

Pathetic service. Ordered Veg Khowsey took 1 hr to be served. Then we ordered Pizza Supreme (30cm) which again took 45 mins. Because twice they delivered our order wrong. First they served the pizza supreme sticks, then Finally they sent pizza (20cm) At first the person taking order had a lot to say, praising the restaurant & food. And when complained about the food, not a single staff or the accountable person who was taking order had the courtesy to say sorry. Instead he argued saying We're also humans & errors are possible. We didn't say anything when they made a mistake first time. But after waiting for so long when we complained. He had nothing to say. Mr chatter box almost became Mr Silent. On top of that If you read the ingredients of Pizza Supreme it mentioned sundried tomatoes but couldn't find it anywhere in Pizza Because they replaced it with fresh tomatoes without prior information. And the pizza was okayish & highly priced.

Not worth spending your time & money here. I am definitely not coming back. This 1star is also for the...
