I frequently visit Upper Crust with my family, and we usually enjoy their Continental or Italian dishes. However, this time we decided to try the Indian cuisine. While the overall taste was good, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. When reviewing the bill, I noticed that instead of Sweet Lassi, they had charged us for a Pina Colada priced at ₹260. Initially, I thought it was an honest mistake. But when I brought it up with the staff, they casually informed me that Sweet Lassi wasn’t on their menu, so they decided to replace it with a Pina Colada without bothering to tell us. Seriously?! This is absolute nonsense. If you’re going to punch in something that’s not on your menu, at least have the decency to inform the customer! And if you’re substituting items, why not offer something reasonably priced—like Chaas at ₹99—instead of charging ₹260 for what’s essentially fancy curd. What the hell? To be honest, this experience was infuriating. Poor communication and such audacity to overcharge customers for a random substitution? Absolutely pathetic. Get your act together,...

I think it is one of the classics in Ahmedabad. I have heard reviews and comments from my friend's saying that it is an all time family restaurant for their families and whenever in confusion of what to eat and where to eat.... Upper Crust have never failed them....

Surprising enough, i was not let down either, in fact i was ecstatically amused by the flavours they had in their Steak Diners.... I have been there twice and have been absolutely born away by the steaks there. The classic brown steak sauce and the oregano white sauce, both were absolutely outstanding. Their combination with Sphagetti and Chicken Fillet steak is undoubtedly one of the better one's that i have had in India, and being in Ahmedabad, which is a part of a majorly Vegetarian eating population, finding the food quality like Upper Crusts is like finding an Oasis in a Desert. I wish i could rate it like 4.5 or 4.75 but the application ain't letting me do it.
