Went for an early morning breakfast to try to ultra famous chole-bathure. Even at 9 AM the place was quite crowed with super high demand of Chole Bhature
Ordered 3 things - Chole Bathure, Amritsari Naan Thali & Lassi
Chole Bathure - Piping hot chole bathure were served within minutes (thanks to the amazing skills of the server). 2 bathure were served along with chole, salad and mint chutney. Will divide the review into two components i.e., Chole & Bathure
a) Chole : The overall flavor is really enjoyable i.e., not to spicy and neither too plain. The chole are on the dry side and are served with potatoes, the combo of which is quite good! (A suggestion could be to have few alternatives for chole by this is that in my hometown we used to have chole which had a bit of gravy and a bit of chutney added to them) Overall rating for chole - 9/10 (Cost 100 INR)
b) Bathure : Were served hot and fresh just out of the kadai. The texture of bathure was bit dark or on the crispier side, which could be because of the oil that is being used since morning. (Rating for bature - 7.5/10)
Lassi(based on friend’s opinion) : Consistency was quite balanced (neither too thick nor to plain) and overall felt quite Lassi. Lassi was on slightly sweeter slide which magically compliments and works like a great combo with the other dishes. As an add on we all felt, addition of cream (malai) can enhance the overall taste. Overall (8.5/10) - considering the price of 60 INR.
Amritsari Naan Thali: Two freshly prepared Naan were served along with Dal Makhani, Chole, Raita & Salad
Naan were prepared live in clay over and were served fresh & crispy. Overall naan was quite huge and were stuffed with potatoes and onion. One recommendation here is to cut down of the overall size of Naan to ensure better per capita stuffing. Secondly over excessive usage of butter kind of kills the base taste of the bread and stuffing. Best option here is to ask server to either not add butter given a separate butter cube shared too which alone should work fine.
Naan would be (6/10) - maybe (8/10) if quantity and butter matters to you the most.
The highlight of this meal was the freshly served dal and raita. These two were very balanced in taste and overall quantity and took away all attention from the average naan breads. (9/10) for these items.
Overall a 7/10 rating for thali given the high price...

As I stepped into the cozy eatery, I was greeted by the enticing aroma of freshly prepared food that instantly whetted my appetite. The chole were rich and well-spiced, while the bhature were fluffy and perfectly fried – a harmonious combination that left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied.
However, it was their chur chur naans that truly stood out as a masterpiece. Served on a plate accompanied by portions of creamy paneer gravy, indulgent dal makhni, and a cooling dahi bhalla, this dish was nothing short of a culinary revelation. Each bite of the chur chur naan was a symphony of textures – crispy, flaky layers mingling with soft, doughy goodness. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste was evident. The naans were delicately spiced and well-seasoned, adding an extra layer of depth to the overall experience. The accompanying dahi bhalla provided a refreshing contrast, balancing the richness of the naans and gravies.
