A Visit to Ghoomar Village Ghoomar Village has been generating a lot of buzz lately, and I was excited to experience all that it had to offer. Unfortunately, my visit turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. (As per the owner - we are not a rajasthani restaurant)

The Good: Activities

The activities at Ghoomar Village were definitely a highlight, with the magic show being a particular standout. If you're looking for some entertainment and fun, the activities at Ghoomar Village are definitely worth checking out.

The Bad: Food

However, when it came to the food, things didn't quite live up to our expectations. We sampled a range of dishes out of their limited menu, majority of them fell short from starters to main course. Even something as simple as the chach which was a bit of a letdown. The dal baati, which I had been looking forward to, tasted below average.

To make matters worse, the service during the main course was incredibly slow, even though it wasn't a crowded weekend. it was still a bit frustrating. Example - they served salad after we finished the whole. The curries and dal served were not hot.

The Verdict - poor show

Absolutely pathetic experience at this vegetarian restaurant. On a Navratri day when we expected good service and decent food, what we got was the exact opposite. The food served was stone cold and none of the waiters had even the slightest interest in serving customers. We had to literally beg for everything to be brought to our table, and even after repeating complaints, the staff continued to serve cold food without care.The service made us feel as if we were being handed free food that they were just throwing at customers. To make things worse, the online menu mentioned for the vrat thali was completely misleading – hardly any of those items were actually available in the restaurant. What a lovely experience at Ghoomar Village Restaurant! The moment I stepped in, I felt like I was in Rajasthan – the colorful décor, folk music, and the homely vibe instantly lifted my mood.

The thali was the star of the evening – dal baati churma… everything was served with so much love. The staff literally insisted I try “just one more bite,” which reminded me of how food is served at home.
