Impromptu — Restaurant in Gurugram District

The place, the decor, the ambience is very well done with cozy outdoor seating for a sunny afternoon in winter's. The indoor seating is very elegantly maintained and the light effects makes it very warm and cozy. Overall 3/5 due to the servers attitude and knowledge. We asked him what's their speciality in food and he could not advise us on that. We ordered "arbi papad me kebabs" and what we got was a crispy (like really crispy, almost burnt) cutlets with full of oil. We asked for pizza since it was part of the menu, but it was not available. We then ordered pasta with special instructions to have more veggies in it and what we got was pasta with even less vegetables than what you would get normally. When we asked for food, to our surprise we were told that the tandoor is also closed and they cannot offer any tandoori dish, without giving us prior intimation of the same. Though we told them that we are getting their to celebrate a special birthday. We had to pack up from there and go somewhere else...

Very first experience it is good place, ambiance is ok or at par with comparable other places..+ point is outside sitting if weather allows which is a big question in Delhi summer or monsoon with high humidity..I visited twice, 1st time for my office team lunch (in around March'15) n 2nd time with my frnds n their wives (in 1st week of July) both time observed that service is not upto the mark.. fresh salads r not tat fresh as claimed... we noticed tomatoes r having rotten smell...kababs served get cold by the time you take 3rd bite unless u gobbles as there is no on-table grill. In buffet very limited option if u dont like to experiment with ur food...in july visit we opted outside table anticipating nice weather but they provided air coolers which r hardly enough more over they ran out of cold water at middle of our dinner n then start serving normal temperature water with crushed ice...come on if some1 paying u 1k+ per person for buffet dinner thn this is not somthg one is...

It's was horrible and nightmarish experience to plan the birthday dinner at impromptu. On Durga Ashtami , my son was served chicken burger against the order of veg. After Taking the first bit he realised it's non veg cause he is a veg person. On complaining the manager was shockingly smiling with a silent sorry. When we spoke to the waiter , he said he is not a waiter but a bartender . However, they replaced the burger with veg, which my son refused to eat. Other food was also not served as per the order too. The service was horribly slow. Crispy corns were not crispy at all. Seemed they were made 7-8 hours back and left in open . Salt was also high in snacks . A dhaba would have better service and food than this place.

It used to be nice place but now I will not recommend this place at all. There is no negative rating here , otherwise I would have given -5...
