TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE NASTY FOOD WASTE OF MONEY Killed my Time HORRIBLE SERVICE BY MANAGER I was allured by the concept of jail and unfortunately decided to went alongwith my family to this pathetic place. I have to say that they were even worse than a very very Low class, cheap food, cheap quality, cheap service dhaba on roadside. The Breads served were thick and burnt; somewhat liked served in jails .The restaurant didn't had courtesy to even change them. I thought that only the concept is lock up but didn't ever imagined that even the food quality was almost equivalent to like i am in jail. When we asked them to serve a fresh plate, they forgot it and we had to request for a plate thrice to get the same. Lentils served were tasteless and looked like they served half cooked lentils. When we gave this feedback to manager , it was even worse . Seems like a DESI guy became a manager and disappeared and didn’t turned up. Coke served was without fizz seems they served it from an old bottle. when i asked that if you have any feedback register to record the feedback , they said they dont have ! MY FAMILY DIDN'T WANTED TO SIT ANYMORE AND FINALLY WE LEFT EVEN OUR ICE-CREAM WHICH WAS A PART OF BUFFET SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW MUCH UPSET WE WERE. AND THEN EVEN RESTAURANT GUY DIDN'T HAD A COURTESY to say THAT YOUR DESSERT IS PENDING.
I will only SAY 3 things AVOID LOCKUP AVOID LOCKUP AVOID LOCKUP.. ITS ONE OF THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER SEEN..MOREOVER THERE R OTHER RESTAURANT WHICH HE HAS BOUGHT AROUND THE SAME place so beware of them .
YOU CAN CONTACT ME I HAVE CLICKED PICTURES OF THE BREADS/dal seeing my family got upset and I killed a beautiful evening because of them.

Read moreI was in Gurugram today and wanted to explore a new restaurant. So, I went to this unique restaurant named Lockup. This place has been made exactly as tye name says, you will feel you have been locked up in a Jail.
The staff is super quick and very helpful. A special shoutout to Mr. Kamal and Mr. Shabnam, they made our visit worth it.
Coming to the food part, we had the following:
Hummus and Pita: I just love hummus, give me hummus in every meal of the day and i wont be bored. The hummus and pita was perfect. Loved it. Highly Recommended.
Chicken Burra: It was perfectly made and tasted delicious.
Butter Chicken: The gravy was thick and half butter chicken consisted of 4 big pieces of chicken.
Godfather Pizza: It consisted of mushrooms, cheese and chunks of meat. It was decent in taste.
Masala Papad: The papad was crisp and on it were different veggies.
Butter Naan: The butter naan was soft and completely dipped in butter. So good.
Go Bananas: Its a unique mix of coffee and banana, you will like it if you are a fan of both.
Peaking Pista: The taste of this shake was good as well and consists of pista which was superb.
Slippery Pebbles: It consisted of peanut butter and tasted nice. If yoy are a peanut butter fan, this one is for you.
Double ka Metha: This was something quite unique and delicious. It was somewhat a mixture of "shahi tukda" and "rasmalai ka rus". The crisp bread chunks in the gravy was delicious. I highly recommend it.
Overall, we had a fantastic visit and an amazing lunch. I would recommend this place to all the foodies for a unique and different experience.
Lockup is an interesting theme based casual dining restaurant located in the Vyapar Kendra of the Sushant Lok belt in Gurgaon. This was probably my first visit here when I was not shopping or unto some other work. I was primarily here for a bloggers meet which was scheduled at 8 pm (02 March). Visited this place between 7 pm to 8 pm as I had to step-out early from here and get-back to my office. Whew :(
Lockup Theme
A fantastic theme which describes the life of the imprisoned men in a lockup with focus on the food being served to them. Call it 'lockup' or simply a 'jail', this place is not about the criminals, thieves or anti-social elements being locked up for a crime in Delhi NCR Lockups. To me, this place is a true reflection of our freedom struggle heros who were locked-up in British jails and branded as criminals by the cunning Britishers. Shaheed Bhagat Singh's martyrdom date 26-03-1931 painted and kept inside the prison is a noble thought and this entire scenario takes me back to my visit to the cellular jail in Port Blair which was a colonial prison in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. The prison was used by the British especially to exile political prisoners to the remote archipelago. Every patriot would have goosebumps visualizing 'how our prisoners would have lived' in a LOCKUP. This place is all about a different experience and to me, it was great...
