Hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had. Firstly, we got to the restaurant and there was a waiting, which is something you can expect in any restaurant in Gurgaon on any weekend. But, what you don't expect is that the security guard has to keep asking the manager to come out every few seconds when a new customer comes in. The manager wrote the name and pax, and told us it would be a 10-15 minutes waiting. For more than 15 minutes, the manager is nowhere to be seen and came out only when the customers starred getting impatient and going in to check. Then, he seated people who came afterwards and without any bookings or reservations. The service time was intolerably long, for even getting some water or complimentary butter milk they serve. After many tries, we could get someone to take our orders and specifically mentioned to bring snacks first and dosa etc later. We ordered rasam papad, dahi vadai for snacks and onion rava masala dosai and panchtara uttapam for mains. The waiter got rasam papad, which was good, but completely forgot about the dahi vadai. Then after waiting for atleast 10-15 minutes, he brought out the dosa (a little soggy), uttapam ( most of them looked like onion uttapam only despite asking specifically for different ones). He then brought sambhar vadai (we didn't order that) instead of dahi vadai while we had started on the mains. He then brought the dahi vadai, and it was more soggy than a biscuit drowned in a cup of tea. For the dosai, the sambhar served originally was cold, and we literally finished our dosa and uttapam waiting for refills on chutney and sambhar. When we did bring it up with the manager and the guy who took our orders, they just kept playing a blame game and just kept looking for the waiter who served us. On complaining, they stood absolutely silent. They might as well put mannequins in...
Read moreHello my people !! I hope everything is going well for you guys !!
Today, I went to Gurgaon for this meeting which only lasted for what 15 mins. (Big deal because I travelled from Noida to Gurgaon for this).
Now, I was absolutely clueless about what to do and was planning to go but somehow I felt that it was not right to go so early and that’s how I visited this outlet.
The outlet is located in the ground floor only at Vipul plaza, sun city. It’s a huge place which can easily cater to around 120 - 140 pax at a time. The aura resonates with the South Indian culture like everything from - Ambience to the steward and their attire everything defines naivedyam.
Food - since I was alone I ordered myself a platter of vegetable idli, erulli tomato uttapam and how can I miss filter coffee. They also offered me butter milk as a welcome gesture. Vegetable idli was nicely done and veggies were fresh (perfectly fermented), erulli tomato uttapam was good but somehow tomato felt bit strong to me (my bad) and filter coffee was a sheer delight - it felt so good.
Staff - Though the staff was courteous while serving the dish. However, I found them bit distracting. At some point they were pretty lenient towards the service for ex - they used to be lost within themselves and I literally have to peak more than 6 - 7 times. Also, they neglect the empty trays even if they can see it. I was observing there response over there but very lenient with this.
Price - Not only the food is good but also it is economical as compared to...
Read moreVery pathetic service and insensitive responses.... Me and my wife, both senior citizens, entered Naivedhyam Suncity today at 8.05 pm for dine-in. For 15 minutes, nobody came near our table to give menu card or take orders. After repeated signalling, the order was finally taken at about 8.20 pm. Thereafter, we kept waiting patiently till 9 pm, but the order was nowhere in sight, despite a few polite requests. We could find a few more customer complaining and shouting at the manager for delayed delivery.
Finally, for the first time in my life, we had to walk out of the outlet without getting our food. And most shockingly, none of their people, nor the lost manager at counter, even tried to stop us, or apologise, or express any courtesy to us while we were leaving. And this was when I realised, we should've created a ruckus and grabbed attention of other customers to name and shame them. But we decided to walk away quitely, though heavily disappointed and shocked. So much about the reputation and quality...
