not JUST paranthas — Restaurant in Gurugram District

Hi Everyone..I went to Not Just Paranthas thinking about the kind of experience my loved one's had.For instance, they loved the food and the ambience..The Paranthas according to them were oversized so much so that about 2 3 people together could munch on easily.The stuffing was extraordinary and there were things on the menu which were complimentry too. My take on it: When you enter the place, the staff greets you with a warm n broad smile. Not to forget, they ask you about the number of people and you can choose to dine inside or outside..i chose to sit out coz of the lovely music being played.Nevertheless, we ordered some snacks out of which one was papri chaat(the famous indian snack).One of the things i noticed was , that the preparation took a lot of time meaning which the customers have to wait.Not many people like waiting on a sunday. Anyway, we waited and the snacks were on the table.The papri chaat was crunchy and filled with yogurt, pomogranate n chickpeas etc though they could have worked on the tamarind sauce more.It gave a mixed taste..plus the mint chutney was missing too. It wasn't bad however it could have been better. The keema parantha was really filling when it came to stuffing however the size of the parantha was really small as compared to what i had heard. You might need to order 2 for one person in case you are hungry.Nonetheless, they give discounts on take away's and online delivery as well. Went to this amazing place today. Just loved the ambience and the outlook. I personally like vintage and classy decor. I personally feel that this is superior version of parathe Vali Gali in Chandni Chowk. It will surely give you the feeling of old times because of the look and old Bollywood songs that they play all the time. The staff was also very humble specially Mr. Ram Prakash who was serving us. Chur chur aloo pyaaz lehsuni paratha as it was mandate. It was so delicious and buttery. The taste was heavenly. It's basically a unique combination of 4 different flours kneaded to perfection with butter and ajwain. Stuffed and roasted in clay oven, crushed and soaked in butter. 💜💜

Their second special are khasta parantha, we ordered mix khasta parantha which was made from besan flour kneaded with onion, ginger, coriander, green chillies and ajwain. These are stuffed and get roasted in charcoal fire. Some where healthy to eat.

Dal makhani- one word for this scrumptious 💙💙

Last but not the least we ordered our dessert. On their advice we choose matka kulfi which was their speciality. It was so yumm and mouthwatering.. more and more I was eating my desire for eating it more was appearing.

I really liked the gesture of the manager who gave us 20% discount on the overall bill 🧾🧾💸💸

I visited this place for dinner and after browsing through their menu for nearly ten minutes, I ended up ordering Lahori Paneer along with Aloo Pyaz chur chur naan and sweet lassi. Later, I even ordered a garlic naan. Mind that this place is slightly on the pricy side. The food was decent and no faced no complains. The Lahori paneer dish was perfectly cooked, with balanced spices. Naan was delicious and I enjoyed eating. However, I didn’t find anything unique for which I paid that much. Like an average bottle of lassi at some 250 INR felt like same which I have tasted at other places at lower prices. I did like and appreciate the Lahori paneer dish. It was great. Same is with the chur chur naan. Things that I think can be taken a note of. The lighting inside didn’t seem ample. Specially at the seat I was given. The washroom also had dim light and there were no tissues/hand towels inside. The table wasn’t cleaned properly and no one even bothered to wipe it off. The tissue paper container was fallen on the table and again no one bothered to put it nicely. If price is to be concerned, the same is available at other places at lower prices. Coming to the services, I think that’s where it can be justified but as per my experience there was a gap which could be bridged.
