I had heard such great reviews about this place that today when we wanted to celebrate my mom's birthday, we thought why not celebrate our special day here. But we were utterly disappointed. I am not even sure now if all the reviews are really honest.
It was such bad experience that we decided to leave after main course, not have any dessert and cut the cake at home.
The food was good in taste but overall not a good experience. So following were the issues -
The food was tepid warm when served. Not piping hot as it should be. Ideally we would have returned it to warm it up but we had come to celebrate a birthday and didn't want any negative vibe The serving looked big but it was not. It was just thin gravy and only 3-4 small pieces of actual order. Like we ordered paneer and malai kofta. Both items were only 3 piece that too very small size. At least make the item size a little big. Rest of the bowl was filled with just gravy. The gravy was so runny that everything got mixed in the plate. Ideally it required bowls for each item including dal makhani. Can you imagine dal makhani being so liquid that it needs a bowl for eating. Food was priced certainly very high just to get liquid gravies in food. The server gas lighted us. When we showed him that the actual item was very less in quantity and gravy was so liquid, he looked at them and said no it is absolutely fine and that is how it should be. It was rather funny to be gas lighted for something which was right in front of us. We had to ask them to serve the water. The staff was mostly standing on the side and chatting along themselves. We had to wait to catch their attention or call atleast 2-3 times. They simply placed the food on the table, and we had to serve ourselves, even in the middle of the meal. The dishes were so watery that they kept dripping onto the table.
The ambience is fine, it is spacious, food was good and would have tasted better if it was hot and their garlic naans were good.
But watery gravies, less quantity, cold food, bad service and gas lighting etc- it was no way an experience worth...
Read moreUtter disappointment to visit this outlet for a planned birthday brunch.
The staff was very quiet since I arrived at 12 noon for the buffet lunch. Upon enquiring what is on offer, after 30 minutes the menu was shown.
I understand inflation is through the roof but offering a soup, salad, 2 main dishes (Channa Dal and Kadhai Paneer) with a selected bread with unknown dessert is not worth the INR 629 + 18% GST = INR 742 + tips is totally not worth visiting this outlet.
It was shocking to know that food in buffet is served on your table in controlled quantity. That is a first!
After patiently waiting for food to arrive, I left this outlet with the family as we were without appetiser, drink and any food until 1:15 pm. Not sure why is food prepared in a central kitchen rather than fresh in the restaurant on the spot.
Lunch time in India is from 12 - 3 pm. Food must be ready during this time and if that is not case, then best to not reserve the table in advance.
Though I had visited this outlet in 2024 and service was well managed, yesterday was a disaster.
The owners can do a better management of this outlet rather than such negligible behaviour where guests are negotiating what will be served in the buffet, when and what is the...
Read moreWent with family for lunch on Sunday. At the start the told us it would be 30 mins before they could accept main-course order. On probing, they told us that food-van has not yet come. And as soon as it comes order be served in 5 mins. This tells me they don't have in-house kitchen. And relying on their central/cloud kitchen. Further on, when requested for Corn-Salad for daughter. They deined no customisation is possible. Again they don't have full kitchen with them.
We requested for RO water. And when we picked up the bottle we saw small white specks floating in it. We requested waiter to get a new bottle. But he took over 10 mins to comeback. And we ordered mineral water bottle.
We ordered Dum-Aloo and to our dismay it was filled with paneer. That is not authentic dum-aloo. Their menu lacked is filled with cliche items. And couldn't find any items like bhindi, parmal, karela, nadru etc. This again didn't give experience of fine-dining.
Good parts, I loved laccha-onion & sirka-baby-onion as accompaniment. It really enhanced the taste.
Their was slow, waited over 15 mins to get the check. Had to request 3-4 times. It seems they were short-staffed at the hour.
Overall, it was let down from...
