Amongst the umpteen choices comes the so catchy, United Coffee House Rewind, rising up with brilliant blue tones of exterior, and soothing brand name banner. Once entered the tranquilizing lighting, chandelier, blue toned sofas, and an overall blend of wood and blue swept the admiration. Even the ceiling and the flooring was complementing the attractive aura.
With a great welcoming, we started of the food fanatics with some of the items fantasizing us to take a grub.
In APPETIZERS we had.
➊ Shawarma Al Djaj. Arabian marinaded chicken, lebanese cucumber, olives, iceberg lettuce, lemon spice dressing. A salad like this is anyday preferable for an order. The dressing was quite sober and a very suitable salad dressing. The only distinctive aspect was the chicken which was differently marinaded like the tender chicken applied in Shawarma. The salad was presented well and had no certain flaws.
➋ Culcutta Chilli Chicken. Sizzling chicken, bell peppers, green chilli, shallots, spring onions. A delightful sizzler with an overuse of chili quotient, which actually was sensible considering the Bengali's lifestyle of spiciness in food. The chicken was perfectly marinaded and the size of the portion was commendable.
➌ Mac n Cheese Pakora Fritters. Gherkin slaw, Southwest sauce. This dish definitely let us believe there's still innovation left in food, and discreetly this is one of the hit. The wholesome cheesy mac was infused in, given a shape of Pakoda and fried golden. The fritters were served along southwest sauce which was great pair.
➍ Chicken Khurchan Pao. Minced chicken, onion and mint relish, molten cheese. This dish was terrific! The chicken keema was really alluring with a sudden rush of onion and mint comes so relishing the moment we ended taking the last bite of the kurchan pao. Cheese was an added charm to the commendable taste. The only slight down noticed was the saltiness in the keema.
➎ Mathur Chicken Chaat. Clay grilled chicken breast, tangy seasoning, with mayo, green chillies, coriander, onion and tomatoes. A kind of healthy chaat cum salad, the blend of mayo dressing on chicken breast, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes was lip smacking. The presentation too was outclassed.
In DESSERTS we had.
➊ Broadway Baked Cheese Cake. Nougat, popcorn crunch, salted caramel, drizzle. The dazzling cheesecake with salted caramel and fox nuts topped was a sweet heavenly experience.
In DRINKS we had.
➊ Belgian Shake. The dark belgian chocolate impressions well in the shake. Perfectly frothy and thickness of the shake was an added charm.
Sangria.
➋ From the Woods. Red wine, gin, blueberry, apple. Daym! Wine itself is so mesmerizing to have, and yet that wasn't enough. This drink is an heartthrob with a very blissful essence of blueberry infused in red wine and topped with green apple. The fruit topping said to be preserved in the wine for a day which likely made the drink more appealing in taste.
➌ Wine Smash. Red wine, gin, grape, peach, mint. The line of wine sangrias in the menu is an artifact. This one too, was so divine infusion of so freshly felt red wine complimented with mint leaves, peach and grape fruit finely contributing in taste. Overall taste was rejuvenating.
Sparkling.
➍ Rossi. Vodka, Strawberry, Peach, Sparkling wine. Carlo Rossi never lets down the sensations of fine refreshment and yet again this was our fine preference. The Rossi was revamped with peach and strawberry essence which made it strident yet refreshing.
Overall, the experience here was flabbergasting in terms of joyous food menu and exotic ambiance which altogether makes it a highly preferable spot to increase the footfall at. The service too was quite appealing with well blue groomed staffs who were quite courteous, speedy and attentive to our needs. The manager on floor too was quite humble and knowledge sharer. Thanks to the outlet for serving a...
Read moreUnited Coffee House established in 1942 had been present only in Connaught Place but now it's present in Gurgaon and Noida with a twist i.e. United Coffee House Rewind. The ambiance of the place was amazing and located on the first floor of DLF Cyber Hub just adjacent to the Hard Rock Cafe. The bar was beautifully created with amazing collection of wines and whiskey. So let me start with what I ordered We started the course with Mushroom Cappuccino Soup Meal along with Quinoa Tabbouleh salad. I would rate 3/5 for the soup meal and 5/5 for the salad. The salad was beautifully crafted and was just perfect. Next we ordered was Fiery Patatas; it's a potato dish which was served in small quantities as it is a skillet. Next dish was again potato based but it was so much better than Fiery Patatas as it was Beer Battered Jalapeno Infused potato. Full points for the dish. I would strongly recommend this dish. Jalapeno Soya Malai Tikka was the next dish served to us. It was served in 3 pieces and with mint chutney and sliced onion. It had the perfect spices that made the extremely soft soya a delight to eat. We had Belgian Chocolate shake and Bengal Presidency Margarita along with the Farm House Delight pizza. Margarita was a tequilla based drink and it was one of the best cocktails I ever had at UCH. Pizza was soft crust and the fresh mozzarella and Bell peppers just made me fall in love with it. What Delhiite goes to a restaurant and doesn't order Dal Makhni, right? Dal Dera Ismail Khan staple is what UCH calls Dal Makhni. And I'm coming again just for this. It was heaven. It was one of the best dal Makhni I've ever had in Delhi NCR. To top it all, I ended with the perfect dessert i.e. warm Fudge cake. It was served with vanilla ice cream as a topping on Oreo cookie crumble. I had the best Saturday night at UCH and would strongly recommend you to visit the place. For any queries, contact management. If you get to drinking way above the legal limit, don't be shy to call an uber! Happy...
Read moreUnited Coffee House , a place always close to our hearts. Our family has been a regular visitor of UCH CP since many years. We just love it here the ambience , people and the food. And now with their chain expanding as UCH rewind with some signature dishes from the CP outlet to the newly curated multi cuisine menu , we love it more.
Recently on a visit to cyberhub we visited UCH rewind for some quick snacks and drinks . My wife love the frozen rose sangria there, it's a must try made out of rose wine and vodka served over green apple. A must try !!
I tried one of their signature mocktails , the Tulsimalt it was very refreshing particularly in this hot weather, based on orange juice it had flavors basil and ginger ale .
For the food we had Dabeli from the maharashtrian side , it had servings of three paos stuffed with chili mashed potatoes ,pomegranates and topped with bhujia.
Next we had crispy honey pepper chicken and Korean style chicken wings, in both the dishes the chicken was batter fried first and then the crispy honey was tossed in and served and the wings were served over charred onions and crumble peanuts which was amazing. Out of the two the wings are a must try.
Then we had the mutton galouti , it just melts in your mouth. One of the finest places in Delhi to have galouti.
By this time we had no appetite for the mains so we went for the chicken khurchan served with roomali roti from the streets of Delhi 6, Jama Masjid. The khurchan was delicious.
Finally the one thing which has been one fixed dish on every visit is the atomic kala jamun , the gigantic jamun topped with their inhouse kesar pista ice cream has been a favourite since childhood.
Overall like always UCH never disappoints you in terms of food or service. Visit if you are around.
