A small shop with fine taste and smiling hosts.
Fit into a 8x8 room, with ice-cream serving, and a gas stove on the side, sardarji cooks delicious biryani, veg and non veg, rajma chawal, raita.
The biryani tastes good, lightly cooked with veges- peas, and fried soya. Served with chopped onions sprayed with green mint chutney.
This place is nearby Krishna Hospital on Thandi Sadak, just adjacent to the footpath.
Cleanliness: the place is well maintained with not a single piece of litter lying aroud. You get two standing tables, good for 6 people to eat together. There is a hand sanitizers on the counter, juat because you wouldn't find a tap nearby.
A fresh water 5ltr milton thermos is installed on the side-corner for drinking purposes. There are two lamps lit on either side of the shop. There is also a dustbin installed.
The overall costs are on a slightly higher end, but the place deserves it. Attaching a few images that sardarji took while I was having a...
┬а┬а┬аRead moreI had ordered through Zomato. One full chicken biryani for Rs. 250 and one full veg biryani for Rs. 180.
Chicken biryani was average. It had two small pieces of chicken which I felt it was put just for the sake of calling it a chicken biryani. Portion size was small considering it was a full plate. If you have an appetite it would not be fulfilling. Taste was also avergae. Rice used in biryani are generally basmati but here it was just normal rice. Do not provide complementary raita so had to order it seperately which generally Biryani outlets provide. Saw in a Youtube video that they provide unlimited raita but It was an old video and now they might have changed it. The biryani definitely did not justify it's price.
Veg biryani full for the price of Rs 180 felt reasonable but again portion size was less. again no complementary Raita, just onion with green chutney. Taste was average. You may find a much better veg biryani in haldwani
