A pretty café in an old Raj-era structure, the Honey Hut has beautiful teal walls with a white ceiling and wooden flooring. There's an outdoor seating area with cast-iron garden furniture, great for people-watching as the crowds stroll on the Mall Road, that runs past the café. I preferred sitting by the window inside with expensive views of the beautiful Shimla hills in the morning light. I ordered apple pie with icecream. Honey is offered gratis with every dish. The apple pie was fresh and delicious! The honey was like the icing on the cake! Absolutely genuine and organic, as befits a café that sources organic honey from a non-profit working to supplement farmer incomes through beekeeping. I couldn't resist ordering a Blueberry Crumble. I'd never seen one before. It was best not ordered. The cake doesn't have much of blueberries and is fluffy and eggless. I'd to lubricate it with honey to down it. Honey Hut is situated at the center of the Mall road just alongside Khadi Emporium. They have consistently improved their quality and taste over the years and have fabulous service to date. I have tried many options from them but my absolute favourites are the Kashmiri Kahwa, Pineapple Upside Down cake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Banoffee Slice, Cappuccino and Mocha Frappe. The cake slices all taste heavenly and are always fresh. The coffees and teas are good and everything is served with a jar of honey on the table. The staff is sweet and very courteous. The space is quite small and limited tables are available. It's a perfect definition of a cute cozy cafe. Seating area is also available outside which gives a beautiful view of the mall road. The price range is average, similar to what you would pay at any other cafe / coffee shop.

Definitely try their in house lip balms which are incredibly moisturizing and made of beeswax.
