A Place to Avoid at All Costs!
I recently had the absolute displeasure of visiting Dylan Coffee Shop in Old Manali, and I must say, it was hands down one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any café. To begin with, the service is shockingly poor. The lady running the place seems to have no idea about basic customer service or etiquette. She is extremely rude, unwelcoming, and frankly, seems to have a condescending attitude towards Indian patrons.
It became quite evident that this establishment displays a disturbing level of racism. While foreigners are greeted with warm smiles and pleasant conversations, Indian customers are treated with utter disrespect and contempt. Itâs as if they donât care about Indian visitors at all. We were barely acknowledged and made to feel like a nuisance, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and upsetting.
In addition to the horrendous service, the coffee is terrible. I cannot stress this enough â it was easily one of the worst coffees Iâve ever tasted. It lacked flavor, was poorly brewed, and tasted like they hadnât cleaned their coffee machine in ages. For a place that calls itself a coffee shop, this is simply unacceptable.
The atmosphere, which should have been cozy and inviting, was tainted by the hostile attitude of the staff. The fact that such blatant discrimination and disregard for basic decency exists in a tourist destination like Manali is appalling. The disrespect towards Indian customers should be a major red flag for anyone considering visiting.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise everyone â especially Indian tourists â to avoid this place at all costs. Itâs not worth your time, money, or peace of mind. There are far better places in Manali that will treat you with respect and serve you much better coffee.
Highly unrecommended. Stay away from this...

Known for its killer coffee roasted in-house, itâs no wonder folks call it a pioneer of real coffee in these hills. A backpacker sipping an espresso grinned, âThis brewâs so good, itâs like Dylan himself blessed the beans!â đ
The vibe is pure magicâwooden tables, fairy lights, and walls plastered with Dylan posters pull you into a world of chill. Their menuâs a crowd-pleaser: signature cappuccinos, gooey chocolate chip cookies (âč120), and breakfast platters with eggs and bacon (âč300) that hit all the right spots. A local artist munching a brownie said, âThese cookies are my museâcrisp outside, chewy inside!â đȘ The outdoor seating overlooks the Beas River, perfect for sunset vibes, and your love for vibrant spots like Manali Bazaar makes me think youâd dig this artsy nook. They roast their own beans, and you can grab a bag (âč500 for 250g) to brew at home.
Open 9 AM to 11 PM, prices range âč100-500, and itâs a 10-minute walk from Mall Roadâauto (âč80) or bike (âč200/day). Downsides? Itâs packed by noon, and a guy waiting for a table groaned, âWish they had more seats!â đ Wi-Fiâs spotty, so donât plan to work. November-March is prime; summers get crowded. Pair it with a stroll to Hadimba Temple or Jogini Falls. This is the real sceneâworld-famous coffee, bohemian heart, and Manaliâs coolest hangout! Letâs grab...

These guys are racists towards our own people, this is how they do it We went there and asked for an espresso and an affogato and she made that within 2 minutes and the espresso was like water and I watched her while she quickly extracted two espresso from the same grounds and used it for our coffees ... And here comes the racism part.. while we were sitting there, an Israeli lady came and asked for a cortado and the barista took her time... Cleaned the caraffe and slowly let the espresso extracted two espressos slowly and crafted a coffee for Israeli lady in 10 minutes.. This is how she did it No hate to Israeli brothers and sisters but it seems Israeli tourists are more important to them and Indians are like peasants to them even though we pay the same amount for the coffee.
Another red flag is they keep the ground coffee and don't grind the beans freshly... Ground coffee loose it's aroma in few hours which makes coffee bland which is just how they care to serve
Fake hype was created for this place... It's not worth the hype Worst experience...
