Hotel Landmark — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

Location and hospitality is the best thing about this hotel, Shimla has a problem, unlike Mussorie vehicles are not permitted on Mall road thus parking and mall access is a nightmare in Shimla. Now this hotel is connected to two roads - Ground floor connected to Chandigarh-Shimla highway and top floor connected to Mall road with elevator access. Thus coming from Delhi, Chandigarh you can direct drive in to the hotel as it has adequate parking space and reach Mall road when ever you feel like.

--- Now let's talk about the hospitality - I stayed at this Hotel from 6th Jan to 9th Jan and during this time Shimla experienced the heaviest snowfall of last 10 years. Snowfall looks good initially but excess of everything is bad and this is exactly what happened, electric poles bent due falling branches of trees due to weight of snow thus there was no electricity in Shimla for 4 days, roads were blocked due to heavy snowfall thus there was acute scarcity of basic things like water, milk, food, bread. Nearly 95% of Hotels in Shimla had no power and food but this Hotel still provided power (through generators), hot water supply and food. Despite roads blocks few people insisted to checkout and leave Shimla, Hotel management called people to clear snow from road for cars to move out and provided every possible assistance and help.

The Landmark Shimla is truly a gem in the heart of the city. Its location is unbeatable—right on Mall Road with direct elevator access from each hotel floor, which makes moving around extremely convenient, especially if you're planning to explore the nearby attractions like Mall Road Church. One of the best parts about staying here is the stunning view from the room—it really adds to the charm of the place and makes your time in Shimla feel extra special.

The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with both fans and ACs, which is great for comfort during warmer months. The property is centrally air-conditioned and very well-maintained. We found the infrastructure modern and thoughtfully designed. Housekeeping and room service were quick, efficient, and always polite, which really made our stay feel smooth and hassle-free.

The food deserves a special mention. The buffet breakfast and dinner had a wide variety of dishes, including non-veg options, and everything we tried was tasty and fresh. The menu also varied daily, which kept things interesting. The staff across all departments were extremely cooperative and made sure guests were looked after properly.

Another plus is that the hotel offers two entry points—one from the reception and another on the sixth floor that opens directly onto Mall Road. This thoughtful feature, along with in-house parking, makes the overall experience even better.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in June 2024 and overall a good experience but service can improve a bit.|Pros:|1) Location is right next to victory tunnel and the lift takes you to top floor which opens up on the mall road. It's a 10-15 minutes walk to the start of the mall road (BSNL building).|There are HRTC buses and cabs but usually those are full with no seat availability.|2) Room is good , we stayed in the family suite which has 2 double beds 2 bathroom..|It can accommodate family of 4.. It Fully air conditioned..|3) Room Service is kind of mixed, sometime the response is good while other time it takes time..|Also, there should be a single number for all services but you have to call different numbers for room service, cleaning , house keeping etc..|They should internally have a mechanism to pass on the info.|4) Food:|Food is good and the the qty is also good ||Cons:|1) Parking : Although hotel has its its own parking but they do not take responsibility of any damage to your car in their premises.|It happened to us wherein our car was damaged in their parking and they simply told us that due to Monkeys it's damaged..|SO PLEASE PARK at your OWN RISK.... Hotel will simple not take care of your car.|2) staff courtesy can be improved .. I am not saying that they were rude or anything but the people at reception were bit indifferent |...
