Mama Cafe' — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

Spending a week at parvati valley is an awesome vacation idea for me.

When i went to kasol in 2016 September, I happened to visit mama cafe on a particular night of extreme hunger.

Like most of the travelers do, We( 5 boys) gate-crashed mama cafe without checking out the reviews of the place.

The attendants were not very welcoming from the beginning itself.

When called upon for taking our order the attendant asked us to DISCUSS AMONG OURSELVES AND GIVE THE ORDER IN ONE GO.

It was embarrassing initially noticing people getting served multiple times sitting adjacent to our table.

When asked about why, he replied very rudely " ONE TIME ORDER HAI SIR YAHA, KYA CHAIYE EK BAAR ME ORDER KARNA HOGA ".

Though we got what we wanted( WE DO EVERY TIME ), It was a regretful decision of having to show that illiterate waiter his place.

I WOULD SAY THE FOOD WAS SUBSTANDARD, BECAUSE WRITING SECOND-CLASS WOULD BE TOO RUDE. :')

AND YEAH, SOME OF THEM ARE RACISTS. MAKING A FOOL OUT OF THEMSELVES IN FRONT...

One of the best cafes in Kasol. The idea of this restaurant is: Take it Slow.Smoke your poison,listen to trance and Israeli Lounge.Order your food and Wait till the Ambience gives you a high.

This place is not for the impatient stoner. There are only two waiters serving about 50-60 people (when in full capacity) and your order can take anywhere from 1-2 hour..so order in bulk or else block a seat and keep ordering. 90% of the crowd is Israeli and the ladies are drop down gorgeous.Yes,it is a little biased in terms of the seating arrangement for Indians. But we visited all three days during our stay and made good friends with the staff and the manager. NOt to forget..the food is delicious and worth the buck. I recommend it to all tourists...

Good work done on the ambience. The trance music in the background was nice as well. But somewhere down the line, they forgot about working on the preparation. We ordered pasta, veg burger and shakes. The food was mediocre at best. The white sauce pasta was as sweet as my vanilla shake. This was after we asked them to make the preparation spicy. The french fries offered with the burgers were bland and oily as well. Their idea of garlic bread was putting butter and pieces of garlic between two bread slices.
