Bombay Chowpatty — Restaurant in Howrah

I am a regular customer of Bombay shiv sagar restaurant and I was very happy to have its branch in my residing area , but the manager Mr Praveen of their branch Bombay Chowpatty is only money minded and extremely unprofessional plus egoistic for his business and has no shame in discriminating between customers who are giving him more footfall . I needed a table for two and since ot was busy time of theirs they were having waiting time , They got two tables free one which could accomodate 2 people and other one 4 people but rather than , having us they asked family which required table for 8 even they were resilient with it but the manager did that promising them he will shift them to table for 8 when it gets free till then they should relax and enjoy starters only if they wanted because he wanted to have more footfall since these family were planning to visit their nearby competitors and to our surprise they just sat and wasted so much of time and later were shifted too. This was very insulting for us as customers we are less important because of being less in number we are giving less profit to them Their overall taste quality and remaing staffs are much cooperative Inspite of being my most favorite restaurant I am never going back their because of unprofessionalism and discriminating moneyminded behavior . BSS has its new branch but failed miserably maintaining its quality...

Disappointed with the Service

I recently visited Mumbai Chowpatty located in AC Market and unfortunately, the experience was not up to expectations. I arrived around 12:50 PM, just a few minutes before the official opening time of 1 PM. As a family restaurant, I expected at least a basic level of courtesy perhaps allowing us to sit inside while we waited.

However, the staff and even the security seemed unprepared and unwilling to assist politely. The way they handled the situation felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Good customer service is a key part of any restaurant experience, and sadly, that was missing here.

I genuinely hope the management looks into this and improves their approach toward customers...

I visited here with my parents. We ordered Nargese Kofta, Kadhai Paneer, butter tandoori rotis and Chinese Bhel. Chinese Bhel was average. Nargese Kofta was good. Kadhai Paneer was very bad. First of all it was sweet like Paneer Butter Masala instead of being spicy and the paneer used was not fresh. The paneer was pretty old, almost stale. I also felt that the kadhai paneer also had artificial food colour added. The worst panner sabzi I have ever eaten anywhere. Coming to the service, it was good, the staff were well mannered, sweet & polite and place was clean and well maintained. It can accommodate upto 40-45 guests at a time. It’s a pure vegetarian fine dine restaurant so ideal for family...
